  1. I've been with CTN for over a year now and I would STAY AWAY! They are the most unprofessional travel company I've ever worked with. Apart from a few none of them are nurses so they have no idea what its like to do shift work or how demanding and difficult our jobs can be. They will charge fees for every little thing and withhold pay for every little thing. They lie. If you work for them I strongly advise not to take their housing. You will be in a house with 5-7 other people (ours was without heat for 3 months). The houses are usually outside the city and needing a lot of repairs and they will charge you for repairs!! STAY AWAY!!
  2. I received my OSCE results after two days and am happy to announce that I now have my PIN!! Best of luck to the rest of you.
  3. Is anyone taking the OSCE the 19th?? How are the studies going?
  4. I'm just curious about the training you're being offered as my agency hasn't offered me any support or tips to prepare. They haven't really helped with any part of this tedious process, I'm strongly considering other options. Any advice is appreciated!
  5. Hello everyone! I'm taking my OSCE next week on the 10th. Anyone else taking it then also? Would love to get together and exchange tips/study group!
  6. Hello! Anybody that has sat the OSCE can you comment on proper attire? My understanding is scrub pants, polo and black shoes? I have nursing clogs that are mainly black with some color. Just wondering how strict they were on this topic. TIA!
  7. Congratulations!! I just submitted the payment today to register for mine. I can only imagine the relief and joy you must feel!
  8. I received my decision letter yesterday! Such a great feeling. I haven't received anything from Northhampton yet, but plan on contacting them Monday. Did you guys get a separate email from them for the OSCE?
  9. I was wondering for those of you already in the UK, have you already applied for you tier 2 visa before arriving there or did you go about it another way? Thanks
  10. Has anyone had problems logging in since they updated their site? I can't seem to find the overseas login page anymore.
  11. Hey everyone, I'm in the application process now myself and waiting on my "police clearance" to come back. FBI states that processing will take 12-14 weeks!! My question to the others who have completed this, what's the fastest way? To go to the state police? TIA!
  12. I recently heard from my recruiter stating "although they haven't received formal word from the NMC" he heard they were doing away with the essential questions. I haven't been able to find official word of this, has anyone else heard that?
  13. Yes I did. I'm curious what the pass rate is. I'm from the US
  14. I recently took it and was very disappointed. I had studied by the blueprint, knew the code like the back of my hand as well as several of their publications and standards. I went into it with confidence as I've been a nurse for several years in many settings. I felt like there was only one ambiguous question regarding the code and very few questions regarding med administration and consent. I think I would've been better off just studying their nurse scope of practice as it seems they have less autonomy than in the states. The blueprint is a joke (half the links are erroneous). Not to mention there were typos throughout the test-which made me wonder if anyone proof read or practiced it before they released it.
