Hi People
I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.
I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.
I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!
Hi all
With regards to the Full Application and Assessment Stage, does anyone know how to submit the "declaration of good health" form? This is the form which your GP submits. I cannot find the UPLOAD link for this on the online application and it is supposed to be one of the documents which is submitted.....

Hi UK Gal,
Thanks for starting this thread. I just passed my CBT and am waiting for the NMC to transfer my payment to my new application. I started the old process in Feb/March 2014 and was rejected for the same reason, and I was also notified by the NMC to start the new process. I'm surprised you're having to re-submit your documents. I was told by an NMC officer in November that our documents would transfer once we created a new application. But its the NMC, I shouldn't be surprised that things have changed...

I saw the download link of the "declaration of good health" form from the 6th tab 'Good character and good health'- the download link is below the page, if it isn't there you better call up the NMC perhaps your page has a bug.
Any way, I just sent this document along with my references docs with a trusted courier yesterday. I am a little bit anxious now.
Question though, does the NMC really check on your references? I am asking since one of my reference (a doctor) will be travelling out of the country for the next 3 months, and he may be out of contact. Also, is it OK to have erasures on the form? Unfortunately, my Doctor made some typo errors while filling out the doc- 'Declaration of Good Health'.
I hope everything all goes well now. Thank you :)

Hi meldr
Yep I saw downloaded the form and it has been completed by a GP. According to the NMC it is supposed to be uploaded with the online form. As there is no option to do this I will just post it. I will try and call them on Monday to confirm.
I'm not sure if they check all references.... Maybe they check random ones.
I think erasures are acceptable, probably helps if your doctor initialled or signed next to the error.

Hi Trmcrn
I too was initially told that documents would rollover to the new process by one person. I was later told that we would have to resubmit EVERYTHING by others. You will also have to resubmit yours, everyone has to...... It was a pain to go through the whole process AGAIN! Anyway I'm just waiting for the police check to come through then I will submit it.
Are you having problems accessing your online application. I tried to access mine today but cannot retrieve anything. I can log on but I cannot retrieve my application or the documents I uploaded. I am just hoping this is a temporary glitch

I just checked mine today, and I was able to log-in without any issues. I have already submitted my application so, I cannot access it as it is under review.
Perhaps it is just a temporary glitch. Try to log-in again later today, and if it still doesn't work after a few tries, consider calling them up about it. :)
Thanks meldr
Seems ok now

Just a question, I'm trying to bookmark this thread, but I can't seem to find the bookmark link/icon.
Meanwhile, I have already sent all my needed docs, including the third-party docs.
I'm wondering how many days or weeks it would take for them to review it, for us to hopefully move on to the OSCE.

I believe we're in the same stage right now which is the waiting part of the assessment until they have fully finished assessing our applications and documents.
keep us posted on any updates soon. Will be bookmarking this thread to check for any progress updates from time to time like how long it takes for them to assess, osce schedules and stuff, and decision letters or emails as well as the next steps after. Also, arrangements with the visa since we're all under the new process so the entirety of this is still vague.
Thanks!
I contacted them and I have been advised it takes them approx 15 working days (three weeks) to upload documents onto our applications once received. They were not even able to tell me whether a document which was sent in early February by registered mail was received.... It seems like an extremely slow system they have in place.... They advised me that when they upload the documents onto out applications we will be able to view these when we log on. Like you and all the others, all I can do now is sit and WAIT....!!!!
