I am freaking with the assessment and admission station. Do you really do everything under 15 minutes? Is it OSCE for international nurses? Or UK nursing students? CONGRATS!! How was the exam? Did you go thru 6 stations under 15 minutes? Hi! How did you go with ur OSCE? Would you mind sharing a little bit about the day itself? Is it okay to email you? Studying also for the OSCE! I'm not near London either, but would love to have someone to chat with about OSCE! My trust doesn't seem to have a clue how to prep us for it.

Hi guys! Just wanted to let you guys know I'm already in the UK working for an NHS trust for over a month already. :) I am now preparing for the OSCE which I will sit end of February. I would like to thank everyone here in this forum for helping me out during the dreaded months I was going thru paperwork upon paperwork for NMC. And all the information shared to help me with CBT until my flight. I will be following another thread here for OSCE, seeing that mostly the posts here are CBT- and COS-related queries. Of course I could still answer a few questions for some of you guys if you PM me. :) If anyone from my batch last year of applicants still want to have that meet up that was mentioned a couple of months ago, hit me up! And to all those who are still in the running for their DL, waiting for their COS or still taking their CBT/IELTS/interview -- best of luck to all of you guys!! The people here in allnurses have been really helpful. And I hope to see you all in this side of the world as well! Cheers to us all! xx

I hope this will come to a reality!! I would certainly love to be a part of this when my time comes to take the OSCE. I have my DL for over 2 weeks now, but I cannot book my OSCE until I've taken my UKVI IELTS. My employer is pegged on bringing us there by the end of November.

Hi guys! Just an update. It's been over a month since I last checked this forum. I'm glad to say I got my DL last Sept. 18th at 9PM - kinda early by my count - so I was pretty stoked. Only 54 days! But after telling my agency the good news, they said (after two weeks, mind you) that I cannot push forward to the COS queue because of the UKVI IELTS. I had previously taken the regular IELTS Academic last Oct 2014 and applied with that. Now I learned that even if the IELTS is good till November 5th, the trust cannot process my COS unless I take the UKVI IELTS one. They want us to take it this month. -_-" Which brings me to this quote by @rachel15 I was shocked to find that you need 7 in all categories for it? My agency told me to just take it without reviewing since they only need a 4.5. Can anyone shed some light on this? What is really needed for the UKVI IELTS Academic? 4.5 or 7 in all? Hey! I'm from the same trust! Were you interviewed last March as well? PM-ed you! :) ** For those wondering about my timeline: CBT - March 9 Interviewed for the Job - March 10 NMC received all my documents - July 28 (I started late since processing documents is expensive) DL received - Sept 18 (54 days) ** My trust was also mentioned in the previous linked article by BBC regarding nursing shortages. I'm proud my trust is taking a stand for it. With how UK is now, they're actually facing a grimmer and colder winter if they don't change their numbers. Btw, just for clarification, what is the point system you guys are talking about for COS? That's following the 20,700 COS/year count? Please enlighten me :) ** I, too, have changed from agency to agency trying to find the perfect fit. There were agencies who didn't see my work experience as "valid" so I had been denied and passed on before accidentally finding the agency I applied to now. They're still not perfect, but by my reading, I like the trust they're representing. :) And they're (the agency) pretty supportive - they're offering loans for applicants who cannot shoulder the 15k UKVI IELTS on their own at such a short period. So yeah, I'm sticking to this now. :) ** I'm getting all excited when I read up on past applicants who I was asking from months before and now they're already in UK or about to be deployed - the next and ultimate step that we all want. And some of us now are next in line. And new ones coming in. I really hope we guys could meet up after everything! Winter months is gonna be extremely cold and frosty, it'll be good to warm up with some Filipino tradition. I am personally grateful for everything shared and everything learned thus far. OSCE is my next step - and I am confident that those who will take it will also lead the way for the rest of us. GOD SPEED ALLNURSES FAM! :)

Try emailing them. I did, and they confirmed to me the date I was put on assessment queue. Then they said they will contact me again in 70 days. Just be patient with their respond, it might take weeks. If you want an immediate answer though, you can just call them up like some of the members here :) Wow! This is helpful info! Quite uplifting :) I pray that everyone who has booked up to this point will pass!! Congrats kizmwah!! I hope this is it for you, and you will carry on the allnurses flag to UK! And us, just behind you! :) So what are you doing to prepare for the OSCE? And what date are you going to take it, if I may ask?

Congratulations Hellsing and Dana_canada for pushing thru to the OSCE taking! Has the NMC or Uni of Northampton provide any links that can prep you for the OSCE? And details about the test? Like how long it'll take or how many "live" situations there will be? Nope. Just three months, like what Hellsing stated.

Hi jaysfordays! When in the application did you know which hospital were you going to? After the submission of documents/NMC portal? :) Hi guys! Also in the same stage. It's just my health declaration that I'm waiting for to make a change. The rest has "document has been received" marked next to it. I'm so excited! Thank you so much for the info guys!!! :) I have also emailed NMC about it, but might take a while for them to get back to me. Good to know I wasn't the only one who missed the instruction out. I honestly didn't see any instruction, it was only when I viewed it as Read-Only did I notice the small (?) icon beside the attached files that specified it should be in PDF format. Anyway, will just have to wait for my files to be done with the Assessment I suppose. God bless and good luck to all our applications! *fingers crossed* :) I shipped mine together. But each document was enveloped separately and addressed to NMC. It was only my PRC verification document that was shipped separately. :)

I've sent in my application already, but now that I'm reviewing the online profile as a Read-Only, I just noticed that the attached files have to be in PDF files only. I've attached them as a JPEG file. Is that okay? :/

Thanks for the tip petrick! Hmm. Thank you for the info, bluecobalt. My employer also has only mentioned that OSCE will be shouldered as soon as I get authorization. At least that sheds a bit of light as to the breakdown of expenses in the coming months of the application stage. But none of the agents has advised me of the Php40k, I'd better check it back with them. It has taken me a while to shoulder CBT and the Assessment Fee, that visa fee will also take a toll on my application. I think the only agency offering to shoulder/reimburse everything as of the moment is CTN/IPAMS. Best of luck to us NHS applicants!

Hi Skye! How was the OSCE? Have you already taken it?? :) So many people from MMA recruitment! Which hospital are you going to, if I may ask? I also have a conditional offer with them, but it was in Northern Ireland in a private nursing home. I didn't push thru since I wanted to be in a hospital. The agent advised me a while ago that they have an NHS hospital employer coming in, but they'll be seeing applicants July-August though. Made me a bit hesitant to wait that long, seeing as that everyone's just trying to get the Assessment done and over with. // On another note, congrats on everyone who has survived the Assessment waiting game! hopefully I get to share with the luck of those who have moved on. :)

Hopefully by this manner, OSCE won't be such a huge mystery looming all UK aspiring nurses :) Apart from the date you paid the Assessment fee, my agency also told me the date that your references filled it up/the current date you're about to submit the whole stage will be okay. :)

I think that can be included. Even unpaid voluntary nursing experience can also be included, says my agency. As long as one of the references has supervised you over a year, and the other one for at least 3 months. You can confirm this with your agency as well. They might advise you better. :) Hey charee! Were you given any OSCE preparation materials with your email? You're so lucky! Good on you!

Is that PRC's email address? Not the one on the homepage or the branch email address? And, I also have 2 references from the same employer. So that means both the employer details (first page) and the referee details (second page) should be filled up, even if the first pages of the 2 reference are the same? For the end date, my agency on the other hand recommends to put the day when you paid the Assessment Fee of GBP 130. Glad to know that! :) Wow! Congratulations! You are so lucky! Did you do any follow-up on your own? Or did ASC do that for you? If you don't mind, isn't it that when you get your OSCE date, that's two weeks preparation time only? So that means you're leaving for UK already? Wish everyone gets the same chance of luck with our applications!
