Hi,
I just wanted to start a thread for people applying to UCLA's new grad program this year. I have filled out the application online, but wondered if I should send a hard copy too. Does anyone else have any information? I heard that for the last new grad class, they had more than 800 applicants for 80 slots. Kind of discouraging...
Just an update for everyone: I called UCLA today and she said they've already begun calling for interviews, but they will still be calling people into next week and possibly the next. She also said there will most likely only be 1 in person interview with the nurse recruiter...which I'm not sure exactly how that works (maybe the unit director sits in with the interview?). And some of the interviews aren't being scheduled until the new year...Hopefully this helps and we all get calls!! :)
Thank you for the update. I think some of us needed to hear some good news since the rejection email from USC was not a pleasant suprise for most of us. Good lucj everyone. Hope some of us will get a call.

UCLA is hiring over 90 new grads this time around. Got the info today from the primary nurse educator herself. Best of luck to all you guys who are waiting! :)
90 ?! Woohoo, that's much better than 10 . Thanks for the info, this is relatively good news . Good luck to everyone, hope we all get those phone calls
I read earlier on a thread that out of 1200 applicants only 200 got talent plus interviews. If there are 90 new grad positions that means those that got talent plus interviews have a 45% chance of getting a position. Sounds too good to be true but I am going to keep my fingers crossed that it is right on!

I really hope so Onestepatatime. Has anyone got a call from UCLA yet?
