So an update for all that are waiting to hear- I just got called and offered a position at USC. I did not accept it because I took a position last week at UCLA, for many reasons including the fact that I had not heard anything from USC. My whole experience with them has been odd- I did not originally get the email that most of you received for the "call back" for the second "meet the managers" interview. Later that Mon night after most of you went to the unit, I got called saying my name was mistakenly left off the list and I was supposed to be there that day for the second round. Weird. Anyway, I went later that week to meet the managers, enjoyed the unit and staff, and did not hear anything back until the email we all received the night of Jan 4 about the positions being sent in to HR. Its been a week since then, so I believed I did not get picked, as well as had other offers that I was very excited about (including the one I took at UCLA.) Sorry for the long story, but wanted to let you all know that USC is calling, and there is a position up for grabs in CVTICU! Best of luck to all of you who accept!

Yes I think it differs according to the unit. My manager said that the first classes all the new residents have to take are the computer classes and she thought those days were March 10 & 11th. She also mentioned more classes on the 15th & 16th, but said we (CT step down) would definitely start orienting on the unit between the 11th and 15th.

Hey all, Happy to say I interviewed this past week for CT surgery and was offered a position which I accepted today! Congrats to all who have accepted at UCLA, and good luck to those with interviews in the near future!:)

Anybody have any info about the CTICU, CCU, or ICU units when it comes to getting calls back for interviews or if they are hiring at all ect? I had a talentplus interview ages ago and have not heard anything (usually not a good sign)...so I am curious. Thanks :)!

Well thank you VanessaRN for that infomation. Congratulations to you, and I hope that myself (and the others who have had CTICU interviews and did not receive the email) may receive better news than what we are currently thinking might be our status with USC. I guess there is always hope until we are told that we were not selected for a position.

Yes I interviewed Friday and have not heard anything either way yet (it was only yesterday) though. @VanessaRN which day did you interview?

Yeah it seems really weird to me too that nobody is posting anything about hearing from UCLA. Looking at all the people who participate on these forums..its quite strange. Hoping that the process is just taking longer then we all thought it would and hoping for some calls soon!!

No USC experience for me, but rotations through the CTICU at Childrens LA (which is different of course since that unit is PEDS patients solely.) CHLA is associated with USC (The doctors that work at Children's are USC doctors) so there is somewhat of a connection there. No adult CTICU however.

Still waiting for it as well. Will be in touch about it.

I applied to ICU positions as well and am waiting (anxiously) like the rest of you guys! Its amazing how much energy the job search/application waiting period takes out of you. You know its bad when you are running on the treadmill at the gym and you keep your phone on the console just in case you get "that call." In an instant you are ready to fall off the treadmill, breathless, to answer. haha.

Yeah congrats all! I also got called today at 2:10 (we must have all had the quick version from HR) SO excited. My interview is next Friday as well...I applied to CTICU and CT Tele (which I don't think they are hiring for). Good luck to everyone!

Congrats all who have received interviews! Waiting anxiously myself! Wondering what day you had your interview with Talent Plus on the phone? Also do you think they are calling in alphabetical order? Thanks guys, and hope that all goes well with your interviews!

Haven't heard anything myself...I applied for the CTICU and am wondering if they are doing interviews yet as well. I haven't heard anything either way. Like you said Sasagrrrl according to their timeline they should be doing interviews now. I know a lot of applications came in. Are they still behind possibly?

I also called HR today to make sure there were no discrepancies in my application (I just got married and I'm in the middle of a name change) and she said just to bring my information in if I am to get an in-person interview. I too, had a phone interview with TalentSupply and asked when would be the next time we would be contacted if we were moving forward. She said "within the next week or so"....So I guess we might have to wait a little longer then Friday if we are indeed getting interviewed...
