UCLA new RN residency program 2010

U.S.A. California

Hi,

I just wanted to start a thread for people applying to UCLA's new grad program this year. I have filled out the application online, but wondered if I should send a hard copy too. Does anyone else have any information? I heard that for the last new grad class, they had more than 800 applicants for 80 slots. Kind of discouraging...

whats that program is about . plz can you tell me. what you mean by new grad

and is it for international nurses too

NewRNAllie,

Do anything you can to stand out from the crowd.

I looked at the UCLA website and searched for the New Grad position on the career website, but I couldn't find the position. Is the application period still open?

Thanks!

Hi newRNAllie,

How'd you get to apply to their new grad program? I heard it doesn't open until later October-early November?

Good luck.

Yea, I got a hold of someone in HR over their and they said that the application opens up in October...

80/800...1 percent chance is better than no chance right!:)

Ya, apps don't open until Oct 25:)

yes, my friend who got hired there informed it opens up on October 25 at 8 am.

Best wishes to those applying to the program.

What kind of program is this, is it for new nurses?

Specializes in Emergency, Administration.

There were 71 hired last round, but there were way more than 800 applicants :/ It's not impossible, though—A bunch of people on allnurses were hired! I'd say definitely DON'T send a hard copy. Absolutely not. The UCLA Health System and especially HR are very aware of the environment and wasting paper. I brought a hard copy of my resume to my first interview and was told to keep it because it's a waste to have two copies.

Uhm, wouldn't that be a 10% chance?
