Hi There...I interviewed for the geriatic dept on the 14th as well. They did not say how many they were accepting but I did see 10 names on the list. I've also checked my status on their website and nothing has changed there. Please post if you see a status change...I don't understand how it can take 1 to 2 weeks. Oh well, it's out of our control.:nurse:

Did anyone interview for the Psych unit (UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital) last Thursday, the 14th? I interviewed that day, but I totally forgot to ask how many people they were hiring, how many people were being interviewed, and as to when we would find out! Would anyone happen to know? I would greatly appreciate any info, thanks :)

i interviewed for neurotrauma icu on the 11th. still nothing. this wait is draining and unbearable.

Oh man, you're wait has been even longer. Do you know how many spots neuro ICU has open? I have no idea for neurosurgery, it's definitely a question I wish I asked. Good luck and I hope you hear back soon.

I was told I would hear back monday or tuesday, but I never got that call :( I hope that doesn't mean anything bad. I called and left a message to the unit director... Still keeping my hopes up!!

i dont really expect any call back. she had a stack of folders/people to interview. She didn't mention how many spots.

I was expecting something towards the end of the week... so if I don't hear from her, then I'll call Monday? Let me know if you get an update LoveAlwaysV! I'm super nervous.

I was able to shadow a NICU nurse for a few day when I was in school but that was a year ago!

I had a five week rotation in PEDS with three days in NICU, and then another three days as part of the maternal health rotation. I was also in the OR for 3 C-sections where NICU nurses attended because they were high risk births...all in all not that much experience...I doubt anyone coming out of nursing school will have that much experience, it seems the bulk of our rotations were done in med-surg...unless you were one of the lucky ones doing a preceptorship in NICU (not offered in my last semester...)
