Does anyone knows what happens when they reject you after the interview? Do you get an email? a call? anyone hear anything from MICU?

That's great chances! 50% lol. And why would they show us the unit and introduce us to people if they were going to say no? Like.. "Here's where you COULD be working and who you COULD be working with, I'll call u Monday or Tuesday to say no" that doesn't really make sense right? Okay I'll stop. Keep us posted and I will too. She told me shed call me this week I believe.

Also I know it is early to be asking this BUT does anyone know if the commute from long beach to UCLA would be horrible?? My boyfriend has a job lined up in Irvine and long beach is right in the middle of both.

It depends on if you are on night or day shift. day shift, getting in and out wouldn't be too bad but if you work nights, getting to and out of ucla would be a nightmare. but commuting from long beach is better than commuting from irvine!

7am-7pm... you would bypass traffic since you have to leave at 6am to get there and after 7:30pm to get out.

but if you work 7pm-7am then u would have to be stuck in traffic that starts from 5pm to get in and in the morning traffic that starts at 8am to get back to long beach.

Hi, Everyone! Did any of you interview with the oncology unit on Thursday - specifically the UCLA Santa Monica unit? If so, do you know how many people they are hiring? I did not ask, but now I'm so curious. Thank you!!

LoveAlwaysV, I interviewed also for Acute Med and also got a tour and I want it so much more now too! I walked around in a complete daze. It would be AWESOME to work there. Good luck to us both! I thought she was hiring less than that, but I must be mistaken. And she only interviewed 8?! We have pretty good chances I think. :) Everyone else, HANG IN THERE!!! Fingers crossed for all of us.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share that I just got called for a PICU interview on the 26th! Anyone else interviewing for PICU? I'm sooo excited and nervous, I want this job so much!!! :)

I interviewed for acute med on thursday and also got invited to tour the unit.. I'm from the bay area so about a 5 hour drive. The manager said she would get back to me monday or tuesday. The hospital is beautiful!!! The time is going by sooo slooooww waiting to hear back it's almost driving me nuts!

so for the 20 min interview alone, there were only 8 of you? wow! when i looked at the ICU list for my unit, there was at least 15/20. you have great chances!

Yay!! it would be awesome if we both got hired :D are you from the LA area? I think we have good chances too! wasn't everyone so nice and happy?! The unit director seems awesome too. It would be a dream to work there! :nurse:

Everyone was SUPER nice. I needed someone to pinch me! I'm from the Bay Area like you. I told the director to not hold it against me that I am a Giants fan. HAHAHHA... hope I still get the job...

That is what I was told unless I understood wrong.. but i hope I'm correct! lol
