  1. I am currently a reservist in the army nurse corps. Does anyone have any insight on how difficult it is to go from reserve to active? I really want to make the military my career. I've drilled almost a year, and havent gone to BOLC yet. I;m just getting a little frustrated with the wait.
  2. Thanks biscuitmama! I cant pm...I feel like its more luck than anything. Lol. When they asked me what time, it seemed like they were interviewing in 20 minute increments. So I'm thinking lots of people int erviewing. Whatever happens though, I wish you and everyone good luck. Competing for jobs with fellow qualified RNs is not what I expected in nursing school. Guys, don't forget to bring your school transcripts and certs.
  3. how reliable is this source? i got a call to interview for ER but i HIGHLY doubt they only called four. with hundreds applying, there should be at least 10/15 people interviewing no? but 2:4, that's a 50% chance....way too high. lol.
  4. yep. i guess it's just frustrating having to start over again. i dont know about you, but it's a pain asking for letters of rec. there's something out there for us i'm sure.
  5. do you think usc will be more selective? i have never heard of the program til you mentioned it.
  6. awesome. you got a 2nd interview? i guess that means i am definitely out of the running for neuro icu. good luck to you though! i guess i didn't give her a good enough impression.
  7. is your unit director's initials B.A? the one who interviewed you? i dont know if neurosurgery/nticu have the same unit director's
  8. Wow! congratulations to all who got job offers! you will love it here in L.A., it's awesome. i wonder if anyone else who interviewed for other ICU's got offers, since it's more than two weeks, I guess I'm out. better luck next year i guess.
  9. i dont really expect any call back. she had a stack of folders/people to interview. She didn't mention how many spots.
  10. i interviewed for neurotrauma icu on the 11th. still nothing. this wait is draining and unbearable.
  11. so for the 20 min interview alone, there were only 8 of you? wow! when i looked at the ICU list for my unit, there was at least 15/20. you have great chances!
  12. i know right. i was studying clinical scenarios, so i was thrown off by the questions.
  13. so does anyone have any idea where we can find how many new grads they are taking? i cant believe 1700 people applied, that means that they must have a lot of people to interview.
  14. hmm..this is very interesting. you guys should call them back and ask them or just schedule it, why not go for it?
  15. so you didn't have to do the phone interview, and the references? just straight up in person interview? that's cool.
