My friend just got hired this march and he said he had a panel interview. there were 3 people interviewing him and 1 asked basic interview questions while the other 2 were behavioral and case scenarios....i have ADN-- graduating this June. but he said if i go to the wilshire bldg for the first time, most probably it would be just one on one interview...
justanRN,thanks! the anxiety is building up...cant even sleep...=(
Im coming from upstate NY. Flying across the country for this 20 min interview! I'll never forgive myself if I screw up. I'm so scared about finding where I am supposed to go, all I have is the building address and the name of my interviewer. I have more stress about getting there on time than the actual interview, lol
Hi, Allie58D! Navigating an unfamiliar city - especially for an important interview- can be nerve wrecking! However, I know you'll be fine and maybe we can help with timing advice! Where are you staying?
Also, if you click around on the UCLA website, you can read about each hospital. The Ronald Reagan site has information on a page called "Our Departments and Units" . . . I don't even remember how I got there, but if you search each major tab on the webpage, you'll find it. On that page, there are a couple of cardiac units listed, including a cardiac observation unit and a cardiac intensive care unit. It seems that there are medical surgical floors throughout the UCLA health system. I'm sure they'll let you know in the interview, but I also know you want to feel prepared! So, I don't think you would look out of it if you had to say something along the lines of, "I know that there are several hospitals within the system and that Ronald Regan has several cardiac units. Is the position with Ronald Regan?" (not in those exact words, but you get the picture:) )
Hey everyone! I just finished my interview today for ICU Liver Transplant. I feel that it went well and I answered all the questions correctly and appropriately. Each interview is 20 minutes in length and back to back interviews. I'm a little worried because my interview lasted 15 minutes was asked only a few questions and when I was answering my questions sometimes my interviewer would kind of cut me off trying to get to the next question. Is this bad? I read that sometimes interviewers know what theyre lookong for and are straight to the point. I even asked like 6 questions afterwards. I spoke to others and they said they were asked 2 questions only. Very strange. I was told we would be notified at the end of this week or next-if we haven't heard anything in 2 weeks to call them back. The staff were extremely helpful and really made me feel comfortable. Overall I feel that I did my best and all I can do now is wait. How was everyone else's experience at today's interviews? Good luck to all who are interviewing this week and in a few weeks :)
