  1. No news from the nicu yet. Maybe we're under the same circumstance regarding budget. Let's keep the hopes up! :)
  2. Oh good, I'm glad it went well for you. Honestly, the interview was only 2 days ago but it's such a blur to me. I think I was too nervous to remember anything.
  3. That's me . And you were from Mt. St. Mary's? Keep me posted, I'll do the same and hopefully with good news!
  4. Oh my, in that case I think we met! I was the quiet 11am interviewee
  5. I already loved UCLA.. but HR really hyped it up. Now I really, really, really want it :) I interviewed in the AM. What about you?
  6. Hi Lovepeacelove, I interviewed for the NICU yesterday, too. The UDs were so sweet, I hope I did well enough to impress them . Do you know how many they plan to hire? I agree, the interview was very short and I only answered a couple of questions, but it was pleasant. Good luck guys, I hope we'll all hear good news soon .
  7. Hi Allie58D, I went to NY for nursing school but waited til I got back to CA to do the fingerprints, and so glad I did. CA's BRN is picky about where they get the fingerprints from and they prefer live scan. I don't know if this applies to license transfers, but just a heads up. It's also best to email them with your questions rather than call, they're not very receptive to phone calls (based on experience ).
  8. I did some volunteer work a few years ago in a NICU, that was before nursing school. Aside from that, I'm on the same boat as the others, just a few days in the NICU during peds and materal health.
  9. I just realized I attached the wrong link to the NICU articles... here's the correct link: http://www.neonatalnetwork.com/ BTW... congrats to those who interviewed and waiting for that call! The vibe on this thread is so positive now, I like it.:hpygrp:
  10. I've been practicing with basic interview questions and reading some NICU articles (http://nicu-info.blogspot.com/)... aside from that, I don't know what else to do! I'm so anxious .
  11. How exciting! Good luck, everyone :) NICU interviewees, are you ready? I'm so anxious and nervous!
  12. Wow.. 15 mins? That's madness.:grn: Was that even enough time to go over the basic interview questions? Maybe all they're looking for is a meet-n-greet to see if our personalities fit their needs.
  13. Good luck to everyone interviewing this week!! :w00t:
  14. nursejaneRN, I received a call today for an interview in the NICU, too! April 26h... I'm so excited I applied on March 7th, within the first hour, completed the Talent Plus interview March 11th, and all my references were completed that weekend. On March 14th, my status was changed to "We have contacted you for an interview". I received a call from HR last week for unit preference.. and NICU was my first choice. I graduated last May with a BSN and passed the boards last August. Hope this helps. Good luck, everyone!
  15. Parlislon, I received the same phone call! The lady asked me if NICU was my first choice, I said yes, and she said thank you have a good day... end of conversation. I'm so glad you mentioned this... I was feeling a bit awkward after the phone call and thought they were eliminating me from list. And I did not have L&D as an option either.
