UCLA New Grad one year program 2011

Published

I am graduating this December 2010 as an ADN. I want to make sure I apply for UCLA's new grad program the day the application opens. Is there anyone else with this plan? Does anyone have the link to where this application will appear? I have looked at many informational screens but have not found a link to an application. I figured it might be on the UCLA job search site, so I opened a profile there. I do not live in CA, I am out of state. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

mine still says application accepted, assessment completed, all documents submitted.

I received an email on Nov 1 that I will be contacted by TalentPlus and SkillsSurvery, but was getting worried because I still hadn't heard from them. Today I called the nurse recruiter to make sure that they will be contacting me and she said we should be contacted within a week of receiving the email. (That probably means more than a week!!)

Does anyone know if everyone goes through this initial process??

does anybody know if they are still accepting applications for the new grad program?

There accepting it again in March 2011 for the Summer New Grad RN 2011. I think. Did anyone else get a phone call from Talentplus and the email from Skill Survey today? I got both of them today. I was wondering if anyone else did.

I got the phone call and email today as well. Just hoping my references come through in a timely manner!

Hey guys - there's also another thread regarding the UCLA winter 2011 residency program here - UCLA new RN residency program 2010 - Nursing for Nurses

feel free to join in the thread so we can all keep each other updated and share our anxiety together :p Good luck!

Got a phone call for a phone interview, but no email yet :(

Patiently waiting...

When I had received my response that I would receive an email, I didn't receive it until a week later and am going to have my TalentPlus interview today. I had called UCLA recruitment and was worried about it too before, but they said that TalentPlus as well as the SkillsSurvey people are so bombarded with all these people to contact that it will take some time. So just wait it out :) they'll call you soon as long as your status says "we contacted you for an interview."

i am super bummed after reading everyone's posts about receiving emails/calls for phone interview/references. i too applied on the 25th and all my status reads is application received/assessment completed =/ at this point, i am almost positive that this is as far i will get.

I think that part of the reason is that they are giving first priority to nurses who have their BSN (and maybe MSN?) and then the ADN programs. Southern California is oversaturated with ADN grad nurses.

My status says "waitlisted".
