Is anyone planning on applying? Application period opens up April 29th. I am curious how it will work out with unit placement when so many programs in CA did not get to finish their preceptorships.

I haven’t heard anything about my application that I submitted April 29! Feeling pretty discouraged after seeing people get offers already here. Anyone else precept in postpartum and interview or get an offer? Should I be completely disappointed or be hopeful to hear back for an October start date?! I also didn’t express interest specifically in postpartum in my cover letter because it was more general and I’d literally take anything I could get; however, it seems like preceptorship is a big deal here! I feel so silly waiting around to hear back. Did anyone have a helpful interaction reaching out to a recruiter?
I have only hears of 1 person in this forum that got an offer. I think we are all in the same boat. It does not seem like UCD hired many peeps this round.?

No, we can't once the application window is closed.

I think you were the only one that got an offer! Why did you decline their offer?

Sure!
I graduated in December from an ABSN program with a 4.0 GPA. I received my NC RN license in February and my California RN license just a couple of weeks ago.
I did my TTP on a med/surg/oncology unit, am a member of sigma theta tau, and have worked for a couple of years as a CNA in a rehab hospital. I have some foreign language skills, a prior bachelors degree from 2009, and career that involved a lot of management and customer service experience.
It sounds like they'll continue calling through the next month(s), so don't lose hope!

Probably should ask the prior cohorts but I say focus on how to answer HR questions using your experience. Also clinical questions I have encountered are prioritization based.

I received an offer today for patient care resources (float pool) for the August start date! I got a call from the manager on 6/29 to schedule a phone interview. I had my phone interview on 7/2, got a reference check email that same day. I didn't hear anything until this afternoon, when I received my offer from HR.
From what I understand of the process, if you've already interviewed but don't receive an offer for August, you're still in the pool for October. In addition, I believe they will continue reaching out to offer interviews to people for the October start date. I was told that offers for October can come as late as September.
Hi! Do you mind sharing your experience from the interview? I am interviewing for this position for the October start next week! Any advise would be much appreciated ?

I am in a similar position except I did my preceptor in Med Surg at an orthopedics hospital. I also haven't heard anything from UCD ? If you have any info I would appreciate you posting it here ?
