UC Davis New Grad Residency Fall 2020

Is anyone planning on applying? Application period opens up April 29th. I am curious how it will work out with unit placement when so many programs in CA did not get to finish their preceptorships.

They don’t have a September start. Only August and October.

I thought everyone was reference checked after the interview? But thank you! I hope so! I'll keep this forum updated if I hear anything.

They only reference check candidates they are seriously interested in hiring. It means you’re a top candidate!

You interviewed with both Med Surg and Women’s Pavilion? Are you trying to specialize in OB? Did you tailor your resume or cover letter towards both?

I did! It was interesting I got a call for Women's Pavilion because I had no indication I had OB experience except my OB rotation in school. My resume was only tailored to the hospital, not the units I applied for. I'm not trying to specialize in OB.

does anyone know the deadline for them to make offers for the august cohort? just so we can get an idea of when they will start calling for october

Maybe on October 12. Other new grad programs are starting on that date as well.

Stanford starts in October. As well as many new grad programs in SoCal.
