TWU Spring 2009

Published

Hello everyone just wanted to see if there were anymore hopeful spring 2009 applicants out there. I submitted my application already and just sitting back waiting till Nov when acceptance/rejection letters are sent out. I know they said for us to check out emails everyday in October. If anyone has been through the application process before please share your experience. Good luck to everyone :wink2:

Oh, I'm saying some prayers for those of you trying to get in for Spring!

By the way, does anyone know which vaccinations we'll (hopefully!) have to have (and prove up) for the TWU program? I'm about to begin the task of getting all my vaccinations up-to-date, and that information would be quite helpful!

The suspense of waiting is killing me. I had received an email a few weeks ago about how some applicants were put in Blackboard with incorrect names. I was one of those applicants, but I had that corrected quickly. No news so far, and as far as I can tell that's a good thing. I don't know about my chances against everyone, I'm just hoping that TWU has a waiting list.

As far as I know I don't believe they have a waiting list

As far as a waiting list TWU has had a waiting list in the past that I am for sure of, but in the last few semesters I do not know. I was told normally there is a waiting list for Fall not for Spring, but as we all know things change every application period.

I continue to be optimistic and pray. Believe me when I say I know how everyone of you feel as far as waiting and getting into the Nursing Program. I can say as well as each of you "I have worked so hard for this and continue to work hard." My day and your day will come. Anything worth having is worth the work and wait just wish it would be less stressful at times:banghead:

Everyone keep each other posted please because new news helps the time go by faster:bugeyes:

Just wanted to wish all of you TWU hopefuls much luck! I am graduating from the Dallas campus this December. It is a great program although it is incredibly difficult. It WILL prepare you to be a nurse!

Thank you,

If you have completed a certain number of hours at TWU you get a bump- I'm not sure what that is. For my class, it was probably a 3.5, but a high NET score did make a difference. I have one friend who had a low 3 something, but she had done her prereqs at TWU and she had a high NET score. Good luck!

One of my friends n my micro class talked to someone at TWU yesterday and they stated that the Dallas campus gpa is usually around 3.6 They also stated the Houston campus has a lower gpa usually. Houston is still looking good for me :)

Hello! I know everyone is anxious and impatiently waiting... so I thought I would answer few questions...

BTW, I'm not a nursing student, but I do have friends in TWU program.

I'm not sure about a waiting list, but they do admit students for part-time status. When there's a spot open, they give that full-time status to part-time students. I have a friend who was offered a spot as part-time, and about 2 weeks before the semester started, they called him and offered him the full-time spot. I think his GPA was a little higher than 3.7, but he didn't do pre-reqs at TWU.

I hope this helps!

Good luck to everyone!
