  1. Hello Cathylady I welcome any comments and I appreciate the conversation. I still have my moments of sadness, but God will lead where I am to go. Keep in touch...please! Also I emailed you back:)
  2. Hello Cathylady Thank you so much for your post. At this time I am pursing my Bachelors in Family Studies and a Masters in Occupational Therapy. I am in Maymester now and very busy, but I am excited about my new direction. I will apply for the Masters Program in Oct this year and so far so good! I believe I was put in this situation for a reason and reason being to help others stay strong and to understand this is not the end. The greatest experience for me was being able to make another person a very happy individual by giving up my seat in Houston. I will never know that person, but I pray they make a great NURSE.
  3. Hello Princess I have missed all of you very much! I am still here for each of you and hope you all work out your individual bugs as you are preparing for the program. AggieNursetobe certainly hope the whole Patho. works out because it is better to get it over with before you start Nursing School. Prettyladie how are you doing sweetheart? Continue to keep in touch with me, please. My night shift has ended so I am going to bed till I come back to work at 1600 today. Take care.
  4. Hello my friends.... I am at Lackland Air Force Base and was able to log in to see how things are going... Oh my FutureCRNA I really do not know what to think about your GPA, but I do not believe the answer regarding the NET because there are several people who got in with 3.8's in the higher range such as 3.85's and above with lower NET Scores so I am not convinced the Net played a significant role in your acceptance. I do know for the Dallas campus the cut off was around the higher 3.8's. If your gpa was 3.81 or so this is why you are waitlisted. I would certainly inquire if they calculated the retakes. I have retaken three classes and I do know they calculated my gpa correctly. I of course did not meet the cut off for Dallas campus but I did for Houston. As far as my other friends I can tell all of you are very excited and I am EXCITED for each of you. Take care and I will talk again soon just wanted to say hello to all of you. Yes I am on the board late because I am working night shift 1600 to 0600 (4:00 pm to 6:00 a.m)..make sure you learn military time if you do not already know it:)
  5. A competitive NET Score is a 67 and above. I have been given this information consistently by all the advisors. If your GPA is high and a lower net score it balances itself out. I have friends that are in the Nursing Program with 3.8's and above with a lower NET Score than my own.
  6. Erin is the bomb...and she has answers and very well experienced.
  7. I think by now I would have to call someone on the list of importance..
  8. Hello FutureCRNA If you have a GPA of 3.93 you should have been accepted into the program... smells funny around here. Not to doubt you by any means, but are you sure you calculated your gpa correctly? I just do not understand what is going on?
  9. What a great bond that has been established between some awesome people. I love you all and I appreciate every post! Prettyladie, please private email me and give me your number because I would love to chat with you if you would like to that is....never know that seat that I am giving up could be waiting for you because I believe in miracles. It hurts and I have cried, yelled and asked WHY ME...several times. It will come together I promise you and more so GOD has promised YOU personally. Love you girl!
  10. Prettyladie I am here for you my friend,....you have came a long way do not give up now my friend and I mean that. You and I can stay in touch as well. U never know what GOD has planned for you and I. Please understand I have been standing where you are standing three times now and for a reason that you and I may never understand. You are a sweetie....do not get down and out...please
  11. Hello to all I GOT INTO HOUSTON:) Yes, I am excited, but NO I am not accepting the offer. There is someone out there that I will be giving my seat to and I am very excited about that. I know all of you are saying "You have got to be Kidding...No I am not. I really needed to go to the Dallas campus and my husband and I thought maybe it would work out because we have relatives in Houston. My daughter is in competitive cheerleading and as I tell people children are only children once in their lives. There comes a time in our lives that we have to make sacrifices for others and that is what I am going to do. So to ever the person is that is waitlisted next in line....consider me a donor of blessings and I wish that person all the blessings in the world. I can actually say all these things with a dry eye and a wonderful heart! GREAT BLESSINGS TO YOU ALL...AND AGAIN THANK YOU FOR JUST BEING YOU!
  12. Whoever is still waiting on a letter I am still here for you as well more so than ever. I am a PRO at this application process. I have never given up and neither will you.
  13. I am so PROUD of all of you, but more so I am proud of you believing in yourselves and hopefully understanding the real power of prayer and that GOD is in control. Please make sure that all of the Dallas crew meet each other and also the Houston crew. You have all built a bond that should never be broken. Remember whatever you do: DO NOT EVER LEAVE YOUR WINGMAN BEHIND.
  14. Go Girls....PRINCESS WANNA BE AND RICHITA..... Well overdo....
