TWU Spring 2009

Published

Hello everyone just wanted to see if there were anymore hopeful spring 2009 applicants out there. I submitted my application already and just sitting back waiting till Nov when acceptance/rejection letters are sent out. I know they said for us to check out emails everyday in October. If anyone has been through the application process before please share your experience. Good luck to everyone :wink2:

I am in the Dallas nursing program now. You will know right away if you got in if you are mailed a large packet. If you recieve just a regular letter envelope, unfortunately you are not. Don't get discouraged if you don't get in. I didn't get in the first time, but I did the second time I applied. I know someone who had to apply six times before she got in, so just stick to it no matter what. Wish you the best!

Kind of made me giggle. If I have to wait six admission periods to get in, I'll be on social security by the time I graduate! :chuckle

I will certainly be on Social Security or very close too it!

What was the cutoff GPA when you were accepted Nursing4God?

Thanks

Hey, girls. I just got my NET results.

79 Reading Comprehension

97 Math

88 Composite

What on EARTH am I going to do now that I don't have to worry about those results anymore??? :yeah:

I opened the envelope at the mailbox and walked in the house to my husband crying hysterically. He thought I had lost my mind!

Think I'll crack open an ice cold beer.

Thanks for all your support...And thanks for the book, Princess!

Specializes in NICU.

Glad to hear that. Funny thing is that's my same exact score!!! Guess the book gave you the same luck as me

Yep! Let's pray that it's enough to get us in!

Hi everyone.

I'm not applying for spring, but I will be applying for the fast track program TWU 2009. I just had a question for you since you were discussing it... How long did it take for you to get your NET score results? Also, just an FYI...did you know that TWU only uses the reading portion of the NET?

Anyway, good luck to all of you for Spring 2009! I'm sure the wait is tough. You're almost there!!

I, too, am a Fast Track applicant. And I'm allllll too well aware that they only look at the reading portion. Sure wish they'd look at that math score, too!

It took a week for me to get my NET scores. I took it on Saturday, the 18th, and I got my results on Friday, the 24th.

Do you know when TWU makes the application available to fill out? I'd really like to get that done, but the app isn't on the website, yet!

Thanks Aggie, I take my NET in November. I tried to schedule it in between all my other exams. Blah! As for the TWU application, I really don't know. If I had to guess, it would make sense for them to post it as soon as the semester is over (that way people would have access to their latest transcripts). Are you going to TWU now? I am, and micro with NC is kicking my tail. I love the class, but it's taking up a lot of my time. Guess I better get used to it, huh?

It was 3.5, but it is best to keep a 3.8 or better.

No, I'm not at TWU right now. I'm at a community college finishing my last prereq--which happens to be micro! I'm really enjoying the class, but I hate all the busy work that community colleges tend to pile on. Small price to pay for a pretty sure-fire A.

I'm also re-taking Chemistry. I took two semesters of Chem when I was 18 years old (and I'm considerably older now!), and those are the only two Cs I have in any Science class. I'm at least going to pull it up to a B, but I'm fighting the good fight for an A. If I can manage that, I'll have a 3.8 something-or-another.

Good luck on that NET test! Hope we can both manage to squeeze our ways into the program!

Micro is just a lot of information in a short period of time. I did manage to pull an A out of chemistry here at TWU, but I'm starting to wonder about micro. But, like you said...I too will fight the good fight! lol. I had never had chemistry before, not even in my prior degrees (or highschool), so I was thrilled to get it. I know what you mean about the "considerably older now" thing, so for me, it's just nice to know that my old brain is still functioning.

GOOD LUCK TO US!!
