TWU Spring 2009

Published

Hello everyone just wanted to see if there were anymore hopeful spring 2009 applicants out there. I submitted my application already and just sitting back waiting till Nov when acceptance/rejection letters are sent out. I know they said for us to check out emails everyday in October. If anyone has been through the application process before please share your experience. Good luck to everyone :wink2:

If I remember correctly it is Spring and Fall only no summer.

Is anyone at the Houston campus? I was wondering what you think of the program. How helpful are the professors? Adminsitration? ect. I am really torn.

Hey all of you! I am also awaiting word on acceptance/denial into TWU's 2009 Spring program. OMG - the waiting is killing me! Good luck to all of you. I don't have a back up school right now - but my NET was okay and my GPA is good. Hopefully the letters will go out sooner rather than later :wink2:

Thanks! I wish it included summer, finishing quicker...

Hello Nursing Student31

Have you taken Patho.?

I have seen that many of you have posted that it is believed that a 3.7 or higher is needed to get into the nursing program ~ is that with or without the 0.4 advantage if you took pre-reqs at TWU?

I am currently taking Patho with Dr. Waldo

OMG....I am in his class too:up:

Nursing Student31

I only took two pre-reqs at TWU so I do not have the 0.4 added to my GPA. My GPA is 3.71

How is the patho phys class? I'm applying for fast track, and I thought I might try to get it out of the way in the spring. I have to be out of state for a week however in February, and I'm wondering what the professor might think about that (I would miss 2 classes). Can anyone tell me about the class and/or the professor? Thanks.

Do those of you in the program (houston) like it? Do you think the teachers are helpful and nice?

Patho is not easy. It is a 4 credit class and i believe Dr. Waldo is the only professor here at Denton that teaches it. I'm taking it now b/c i did not want to take it with pharmocology if/when i get into the program for the Spring. I was out for 3 class sessions due to a death in the family and it really hurt for the test i had to take the week i returned. Hope that answers your question.
