This is for students applying to TWU Dallas for Fall 2014 :)
Hey guys! I noticed that there wasn't a Fall 2014 page yet... Probably because its not for another year but I thought I would start one!
I'm currently attending North Central Texas College and I'm about to start my last semester of required prereqs, and I'm taking a CNA class this fall!
I've attended an open house at TWU Denton & Dallas; I absolutely love the campus and the staff seems so friendly! I'm really excited to attend TWU. Hopefully I'll be in Dallas for the nursing program, but if life does not take me in that direction--I'll make my way for a Physical Therapy degree!
I'm sooo excited to start nursing classes and spend time in the hospitals. I'm on this website all the time and I hope there are some people on here applying the same time as me so we can support each other :-)
Tell me about yourself!
Thanks for the info rlmom! :) I'm in the same position as you I still have to work my full-time job so I'm really shooting for the evening/weekend program. I'm preparing for fall'15 so any advice, or tips will be very helpful. I'll start taking my natural science classes this summer, and am super nervous from reading previous posts. Did you retake any of your classes from your 1st degree? Also, do you mind sharing your stats? Thanks!!

My stats are 3.9 GPA, 3/4 first attempts, a 78.7 teas score, and a previous degree. I have 2 kids so not working is not an option right now. Me and my hubby are going to reevaluate the working thing during my second year. Lucky for me I didn't have to take any of my classes over again but I had a lot to take since my major was in accounting. Also since I'm older I had to take some classes that were not required when I went to school the first time. I took my time taking the class so that I could make sure I got good grades. I only took one science class a semester and I didn't do them over the summer since it would be fast paced. With two very active kids I didn't want to miss any thing over the summer. I went to DCCCD so I took a lot of class during Maymester and Wintermest online. That way I could get them over with quickly. Also when I did the science classes I didn't take any other classes with them. Like I said I took it slowly. :-) I have been out of school for awhile so going back was an adjustment. Good luck and let me know how it is going for you.
That's awesome! You did what I did as well with classes and kids. I have a 3.7 but only 2/4 prefs with a previous degree and 73 on teas5. I have not been accepted. Was trying to fly my full time schedule and be a good parent too. I'm older as well (50 something) but driven to become an Rn. Hope all works out for you and that you achieve your goals while having a good experience. I KNOW how hard you've worked to keep it all together. Best of luck !

You have to take patho at TWU.. I think it's because its part of the nursing curriculum. That is what the adviser told me.
