I need to work, can I join a nursing program at centro or Brookhaven?
Hi there, Texas Woman's University offers a night/weekend program for a BSN. The campus is located near Parkland & UTSW. A majority of my classmates worked full time during the program.

I need tips about eating when studying!!
I've learned that I'm definitely a stress eater as well. My go to snacks are apples with peanut butter or a salad.

UT Southwestern GN Internship
thedit, I'm in nursing school right now and am looking for a HUC or Tech position at UTSW. What's the best way to go about ? It seems like everytime I apply to a job online, I get an automatic response a few days later saying they've gone with someone else. thanks in advance !

Working and Nursing School
Fortunately, my program is set up for working professionals who are earning a BSN. I work 40 hrs/wk. Mon-Fri. Our classes are weekday nights ( a few are online ) and our clinicals are on the weekend. I've worked at a logistics company the past 7 years. But currently looking to get a tech job at a hospital.

General Studying Tips
Hello everyone, I am wanting some general studying tips for nursing school. This semester in my program, our classes are : 1. Concepts/Clinical 2. OB/Woman's Health 3. Intro to Research I did okay in my 1st semester ( its a night/weekend BSN, so I also work 40 hrs a week ). But feel like this semester is going to be a doozy. I was wondering how you guys take notes and how you study. I never really had to study in my 1st undergrad program ( business ). I'm learning that nursing school is WHOLE different beast !! In advance, thank you for your advice. It is greatly appreciated.

the orientation was very helpful. The faculty, staff, and students did a great job trying to prepare/lessen the load for us once school starts. The pre-reqs clearly state TX govt is a mandatory class, so I'm not sure why you are surprised you need to take it now.

Tracydsc - I think there is only 1 orientation session offered. Health insurance, I would assume, will be covered at that time. I'm sure you can talk to someone about it later though. As far as your immunizations, even though you've had immunizations before, you can get titers which will prove that you've had immunizations for the required diseases. I would suggest a County Health Office, depending on where you live.
