  1. Well I got my denial email from critical care this morning. Has anyone heard anything about the ED?
  2. I have too...but from what I understand, the unit managers are going through applications now. I think it will be another week at the least before we hear anything!
  3. Yeah...unfortunately I had already purchased a plane ticket for this weekend...
  4. It's a informational expo they're having on March 7th. Unfortunately it is by invitation only. I didn't know how to get an invitation until I attended their webinar last week and received an invitation for doing so!
  5. Are you talking about UT Southwestern's job fair or Baylor's GN Expo? I am going to attend both...I don't think it could hurt!
  6. Looks like the review process will take place the first two weeks of March. Is anyone going to the career fair on the 28th? Also, did any of you guys apply to Baylor?
  7. Hmm I think I got my invitation to take the test within 36 hours of submitting my application. Not sure...I'd give it a little longer and then maybe ask?
  8. It's an exam to determine how you would react in certain situations. Kinda a crummy test if you ask me. You will probably get an email tomorrow asking you to take the test. No way to study for it...you just gotta go for it I think. Good luck! And to all who will be at the job fair, I think I am going to fly in for that (I live in New Mexico now) so I'd love to meet other applicants to the GN programs!
  9. Did your friend get that email saying she didn't pass in relation to UTSW's internship application?
  10. I though the Career Battery test was terrible. There were several questions with all wrong answers. I got one about a med error and why I should report it and all of the options were terrible. I didn't get any sort of email about whether I passed or not...I'm hoping that hearing nothing is a good thing? I did get an email from the senior nurse recruiter at UTSW saying that they will take 7-10 days after the application deadline and will let us know what our status is after that time period.
  11. @Grad2015: Glad to hear it! Good luck!
  12. @Grad2015: Yes I do know what you're saying. Luckily for me, I am using my macbook laptop that I bought in 2007 or 2008 (don't remember). So I have really outdated software and operating system. I had switched to firefox and that didn't work for the application so I reverted back to Safari 5. I guess I got kinda lucky. I don't know what else to tell you. Maybe try to find someone who has an older laptop? Or download a compatible browser? Wish I could help more!
  13. I had the same issue using firefox 35.0.1. Had to open up my old Safari 5 for me to be able to attach documents to my application (resume, CV, ect). Try that if you can.
  14. Have you applied yet, Mel42174? Which track are you hoping for?
  15. Hi All, Just submitted my application to UT Southwestern's GN internship program beginning in July 2015. Hoping for the critical care or ER track. Has any one else applied? Will they be hiring more applicants this year due to their new facility? Any help would be appreciated! Jordan
