TWU Applicants Spring 2011

Hello Everyone,

Well I am currently looking to apply to TWU for Spring 2011. I thought it would be nice to start a thread because I am sure we will all need a good support system. The whole application process is so STRESSFUL!

@ spatel. I think they are done with the first round of emails but I would expect another round of emails or letters to go out within the first week of Nov.

Yes, we should all plan a day to get together soon! And I was just wondering, in Dallas do the nursing students wear the white top & maroon pants or maroon top & maroon pants?

In Dallas it is a white top and maroon pants.

Hey guy, do we only have to turn in the "Confirmation Form" and the "Requirements for Clinical Placement and Subsequent Registered Nursing Licensure Form" in order to accept our spot? Just making sure...

Does anyone know how would the orientation works?Also, I would like to ask if why they are so specific of which identification card to bring on the orientation.

Oops, they should probably update that! It's just an old link to the handbook - the new link has /downloads/ before /nursing/

I got into both the Dallas and Houston programs. I chose Houston. Now on to living arrangements. Anyone in need of a roommate that wants to live downtown close to the medical center?

I read on the website that it would be in 2011 but I was just wondering if it was going to be in the Spring or Fall bc that is where the College of Nursing along with other programs will be once it opens up.

Still supposed to be Spring 2011. Check out where parking is compared to the building!!! Yah, it is crazy long walk but it says a shuttle comes along every 20 minutes. Not looking forward to that!

When we started we had 115, but that included RN's that were getting their BSN's. I am not sure how many we have in our class right now...maybe 90 something.

The school is fantastic! The support group here is amazing and the teachers are fantastic!!! You made a good choice.
