Not very comforting to know that Honors and Fast Tracks are in the same pool with us! Extremely nerve racking! :eek: But you all know what, Bharvey2 is absolutely correct! What will happen will happen. Praying for you all, that the nerves will lay at rest and that what is meant to happen will be revealed to us with peace no matter what it may be.

Hey! I applied last fall and started Spring '10. I'm about to start my second semester at the Dallas campus.
They told us we wouldn't find out until November too, but they ended up letting us know in October. You never know, you could find out earlier than expected!

I sure hope so! I'm going CRAZY waiting! LOL

Are you liking the program so far? How much of your micro knowledge have you had to use? It's been a year since I've taken it so I've been re-reading the book. The head of Micro scared all of us saying we had to remember every. little. thing. and could be taken out of the program and bumped back into micro and if we didn't. Is there truth to that? Will I be kicked out of nursing school if I can't remember how to properly spell Taenia pisiformis? :crying2:

I 've applied to the Dallas Campus.. and I'm just a regular undergrad hoping to get in. I'm taking Patho at the Dallas campus, but other than that all of my classes have been junior college. Anyhoodle... Good luck everyone! November (or maybe even October) cannot get her fast enough!

I actually dropped patho before the Census date so I wouldnt get a W on my transcript. I decided to take it in the winter if they offer it and considering if I get into the nursing program for this coming spring. And if I don't get into the program, I'll just take it next semester bc I'll have no other classes left to take and I have to take at least one class a semester or I'll go crazy not doing anything.

I wonder how much the first attempt classes weigh for admission. I also called the College of Nursing for an exact number of students that will get accepted it and they said its about 90 for Houston & 100 for Dallas. And they just said that the first attempt classes are really important. I forgot to ask how many applicants applied for spring! Do any of you guys know?

Has anyone else heard of other ppls TEAS scores or GPAs for this upcoming semester?

They told us that about 600 applied for Fall 2010 at Houston, and they took in 94 of us.

Is anyone else having problems with TWU missing some of their records? First email I got from the nursing dept. said I didn't submit my TEAS score. I showed them my records and then they said it was a system malfunction with ATI even though that is not what ATI told me. Now they sent me an email saying they have no record of me having a previous degree even though I had my final transcript with my degree submitted electronically as well as physically in person by me in a sealed, stamped and signed envelope.... I'm just a bit frustrated by this. It also makes my heart jump a bit when I get an email saying "your application cannot be processed..."

Does anyone else have a new group in blackboard: NURS-APP Applicants to Upper Division Nursing ??? It looks like it's administrative with names and things that are wrong with applications. It also show the names and dates of people from previous semesters on when their acceptance emails/letters were sent out. Maybe this is a new way of how we're going to find out...?

It also says the acceptance letters for the weekend program went out Tuesday!

I don't think we are suppose to see that. Sounds like a major violation of student privacy... My name was on the list of people they didn't get TEAS scores from way back.

I've gone to a lot of different colleges over the years because I used to be in the military and, unfortunately, all colleges seems to have varying degrees of problems with records. TWU seems to be a little below average, but I've seen worse. Very frustrating indeed. Interesting how we're expected to jump through 1,000 hoops, but sometimes you feel like you can't count on people to do the simplest things themselves. :hdvwl::spbox:

Agreed, this does seem to be a violation. Especially the "low GPA" and "low TEAS scores"!! Yikes. I wonder if they are aware the info is visible to all.

I emailed one of the advisers about it but I think it was after hours. We will see what they say tomorrow.
