Confirmation Hearings for the Trump's incredibly bad choices for cabinet leadership positions. Traitors, drunks, rapists, pet killers and television personalities were the first choice of the mentally ill old man.
My Senator, Dan Sullivan is all over his social media singing the praises of these folk so we should expect most of them to be confirmed.
Hegseths hearing should be starting about now.

QuoteThe Trump election and inauguration effects on Trump Media's stock appear to be over. So now Trump Media's business activities and results take on more importance.
By the end of February, the company will furnish its 2024 annual report. Besides the revenues, earnings, cash flow, and other material information, investors should expect fulsome descriptions of management's views, strategies, and outlooks.
However, management has provided little such information in the past quarterly reports. That absence makes the coming annual report especially important. Will it finally reveal actual growth results? One possible potential indicator of the answer is the stock's performance - particularly, its inability to break above the major $35 barrier. (The Friday, January 31, closing price was below $32.)
Smoke and mirrors in the Trump era of conmen, grifters, and charlatans.
QuoteWASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration has placed two top security chiefs at the U.S. Agency for International Development on leave after they refused to turn over classified material in restricted areas to Elon Musk's government-inspection teams, a current and a former U.S. official told The Associated Press on Sunday.
Members of Musk's Department of Government Efficiency, known as DOGE, eventually did gain access Saturday to the aid agency's classified information, which includes intelligence reports, the former official said.
Musk's DOGE crew lacked high-enough security clearance to access that information, so the two USAID security officials — John Vorhees and deputy Brian McGill — were legally obligated to deny access.
The current and former U.S. officials had knowledge of the incident and spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to share the information.
This is what our republic colleagues and neighbors want. They want a powerful government where an unelected man can run rough over our government without a pathway for accountability.
What will the ethically and morally challenged billionaire do with all of this power and access to our money and secrets? What do fascists typically do with that sort of stuff?
QuoteAbout 100 Federal employees and supporters occupied the courtyard of the OPM building for most of Sunday afternoon and into the evening. For a brief period they blocked the doors to the building when a handful of self-identified 'data miners' waited to be admitted to the building. The small group of young men eventually left without entering after the protesters would not let them near the front doors. A team of DC Metropolitan Police stood nearby watching but did not intervene in the spontaneous doorway block. There was no attempt by the self-identified group to get past the doors and the doors remained locked from the inside.
QuoteThese personnel systems and databases house the business accounts and personal information of over 2 million former and presently active Federal employees, their personnel data, work history, job information, payroll records, and retirement benefits and information.
A massive intrusion of this scale taken against a system of secure government computer networks is unprecedented.
Similar activities by Elon Musk's surrogates were reported at the U.S. Treasury and at USAID. Federal employees were denied login privileges into their systems while unauthorized persons connected to Elon Musk accessed key software, accounts, and databases.
The entire management and administrative arm of the Federal government files and accounts have been effectively captured and taken over by Musk's surrogates and could conceivably be further accessed further by unknown unauthorized third parties or entities.
QuoteA group calling itself Shutdown DC is organizing daily protests around the OPM building starting Monday afternoon and plans a continuing presence outside the OPM building.
These are true patriots. Musk wasn't elected, he doesn't have a security clearance, he and his little minions have no right to muck around in the OPM and Treasury.
I see a congressional delegation is going to gather at USAID this afternoon. Finally.
I emailed my senators yesterday, and am emailing my congress person today.

Imagine how easy it is for this wealthy liar to make minor changes to customer data and cause these systems to deny their payments, stop their deposits and create widespread chaos and havoc? The Trump voting members of this forum voted and our neighbors for this type of decision making from Trump. This is what they want.

Just went round and round with my oldest son Trump supporter on this issue--- "you didn't do anything for years, we have to make make major change stopping payments due to the debt". Tried to explain that Trump does not have legal authority to stop funds (called impoundment) that House and Senate have appropriated. "Yes, he does and I support him doing it --can't continue way your generation did things."
Gave up to keep BP under control.

It's not really the same issue as the other member jumped the shark over.
I do agree with you though. I don't believe Trump has the power to do that. I guess we'll see.
I'm curious though, did you discuss with your son if Biden had the power to cancel student loan debt and how did you come down on that issue?

No point in arguing with indoctrinated people. Their beliefs are core to who they are, part of their identity. That seems weird but more appropriate in a religious cult and it's dangerous in a political cult. I'm sorry. My brother is the same. They've set aside common sense, critical thought, and patriotism to follow the lead of a deeply corrupt and mentally ill man.
It took Hitler less than 60 days to dismantle Germany's democracy and he didn't have the kind of help that Trump has.

Who cares if it's really the same issue in your opinion? All of the incompetence, bad decisions, abuse of power and nonsense from Trump's appointees, advisors and unelected officials is up for discussion here. We'll never talk about all of it simply because of the blistering pace and volume of the baloney pouring out of this administration as they implement P2025.
Why would anyone be talking about Biden when an unelected and wholly unaccountable fascist has control of our economic systems and data right this minute? What a weird priority of thought.

QuoteA federal prosecutor appointed by President Donald Trump said on Monday the FBI was investigating the "targeting" of staff involved in Elon Musk's effort to slash the size of the U.S. government.
I guess we aren't allowed to know who these people are and that transparency is a form of targeting. LOL
This is from the people who watched Trump and Giuliani ruin the lives of a couple of election workers while the Trump fan base terrorized members of the Grand Jury that indicted him. Why have a standard when you can have a double standard more easily? Am I right?

Double your pleasure, double your fun.

Change of subject to Biden (which I'm sure you'll rationalize somehow). But it's an interesting thought since one generation caused massive student debt and her son didn't like the way the prior generation did things I wonder if he would support the collapsed attempt at relieving student loan debt.
