Confirmation Hearings for the Trump's incredibly bad choices for cabinet leadership positions. Traitors, drunks, rapists, pet killers and television personalities were the first choice of the mentally ill old man.
My Senator, Dan Sullivan is all over his social media singing the praises of these folk so we should expect most of them to be confirmed.
Hegseths hearing should be starting about now.

You don't think there were any Trump loyalists in ICE prior to the inauguration? That seems highly unlikely.
To me it seems unlikely what you are saying here. I think they made arrests and then found out who he was. But my mind doesn't immediately spin into conspiracy, But nowadays not much surprises me.

@Crusades, yes, I read the article that @Beerman attached and I understand that criminals were arrested. Yes, that is a good thing.
LOL
Why were these people in our country in the first place? Why were some released from prison without ICE being notified?
So that Trump could in the future capture them and look good? Haha...sure
President Crazy Pants is trying to start a trade war with Colombia.

QuoteColombia has denied entry to two U.S. military deportation flights, according to officials from the Department of Homeland Security and the Defense Department.
The flights, carried out on U.S. military C-17 aircraft, were carrying about 80 Colombian migrants each and had departed from California, the defense official told NBC News.
In response, President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social Sunday sweeping retaliatory measures that include tariffs on Colombian imports, visa sanctions on government officials and allies, enhanced customs inspections and financial penalties, as the U.S. accuses Colombia of violating its obligations to accept deported nationals.
QuoteIn a statement shared on X, Petro criticized the use of military planes for deportation.
"A migrant is not a criminal and should be treated with the dignity a human being deserves,” he wrote. "We will receive our nationals in civilian airplanes, without treating them as criminals. Colombia must be respected.”
The Brazilian government condemned what it considered to be the degrading treatment of its nationals who were on a ICE repatriation flight Friday, citing the use of handcuffs, a broken air conditioning system and other violations of a bilateral agreement that ensures humane treatment.
The current administration is choosing to use military flights to carry out deportations. Hey, where is DOGE to comment on these costs?

No. Now asking neighboring countries to take in Palestine refugees is "ethnic cleansing"!
Trump probably knew these offenders were going to offend but waited until they offended first so he could look good.

What's crazy about holding another country responsible to accept back their citizens?
Whoever calculated the cost of the flights to Guetamala thinks it's a 12 hour flight to there from El Paso.

Looks like our deportation flights to Columbia now won't cost us anything.
"The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, has said in a statement that he would send the presidential plane in order to collect the migrants who are being expelled from the US. The statement comes after President Donald Trump threatened to impose a tariff on the country."

It didn't take him long to cave did it? I will give Trump the win here. I'm not seeing the story elsewhere yet though.
It does send the message that Trump isn't playing around.
Also we have the same topic in two threads. I thought this thread was about his appointees. LOL

It seems to me President Crazy Pants took care of it.
"Late Sunday evening, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced the US and Colombia had agreed to the "unrestricted acceptance" of migrants from Colombia and would allow them to be returned to the country "including on US military aircraft, without limitation or delay.”
Leavitt said in the statement the US would not sign the tariffs or economic sanctions Trump ordered "unless Colombia fails to honor this agreement.”
