Confirmation Hearings for the Trump's incredibly bad choices for cabinet leadership positions. Traitors, drunks, rapists, pet killers and television personalities were the first choice of the mentally ill old man.
My Senator, Dan Sullivan is all over his social media singing the praises of these folk so we should expect most of them to be confirmed.
Hegseths hearing should be starting about now.
Kafka Fan44 said:Do you even read the links you post? Are you okay with people being treated differently based on race? Creating a more equitable school environment is a good thing versus one that fosters an environment of black privilege that encourages bad behavior.
"In 2014, the Obama Administration issued guidance pressuring schools (including with threatened loss of federal funding) to impose discipline in a manner designed to equalize disciplinary rates by race, rather than simply imposing discipline based on objective behavior alone.
As a result, students were disciplined differently depending on their race, and some students who should have been suspended or expelled for dangerous behavior remained in the classroom.
A 2018 Federal Commission on School Safety report found that schools ignored or covered up student misconduct to avoid federal scrutiny over racial disparities in discipline data."
Hmm, this calls for speculation. That statement up there "some students who should have been suspended or expelled for dangerous behavior remained in the classroom" does not mean all. First let me say, I do not condone children acting out in class causing disruptions or worse. However, we've all been to school with children who may have needed a little bit more help or whom for whatever reason didn't quite understand the subject matter and they may have behaved in certain ways due to anxiety or angst. Again I am not talking about extreme cases of bad behavior/violence, and with this, I agree with TMB, why do the feds have to be involved. There is more I'd like to share here, but I'll wait. Also, the fact that YOU mentioned Black Privilege encouraging bad behavior looks very suspicious and telling when that is not cited in the article nor mentioned in TMB's post. School violence comes in many forms as you can see on the News.

QuoteWhile Doge may have cut a significant amount of government spending, the lack of evidence provided for its biggest claimed savings makes it impossible to independently confirm exactly how much.
Doge does not have a press office but BBC Verify has contacted the White House to ask for more evidence of these claimed savings.
Basically, there's no evidence that any of DOGE'S claims are founded in reality.

Not really related but interesting study. Sounds like white privilege and this could encourage white children to act up more because lesser consequences.
QuoteThey found that children in the Black/Hispanic poor and the Black nonpoor groups had significantly more teacher-identified behavioral problems than children in the White/Hispanic nonpoor group, even though the observation tool showed no differences in children's objective disruptive behavior.
QuoteDespite those claims, 100 days into Trump's second term, DOGE has not delivered on its promised savings, efficiency or transparency in meaningful ways.
In the scheme of things 100 days is not a long time. Still, it seems a bit chaotic to me with wild promises and claims. Clinton/Gore I think did a better job methodically and it did take some time. Clinton had a good economy and budge surpluses.

QuoteA new administration swept into Washington and announced plans to shake it up, using corporate know-how and new technology to streamline the federal bureaucracy.
It offered millions of government employees buyouts and slashed costs to balance the budget.
It might sound like the controversial cost-cutting push led by billionaire Elon Muskunder the auspices of Republican President Donald Trump. But the biggest effort to overhaul the federal government in modern history actually was 30 years ago under a Democratic administration. It was then-President Bill Clinton's " Reinventing Government " initiative, under the control of his vice president, Al Gore.
Musk himself has recently tried to associate himself with the Clinton effort: "What @DOGE is doing is similar to Clinton/Gore Dem policies of the 1990s,” he posted on his social platform X, using his acronym for the effort in charge of the cuts, the Department of Government Efficiency.
Border crossing declines have been one of his successes of his first 100 days. There's the sentiment that he should have focused on this rather than the mass deportations, or the way he's carried out the mass deportations. I'll give him his props even if he's just saying it and not providing any evidence.
Quote"99.9% at the Border. Best number ever recorded. 3 people got in, versus hundreds of thousands in last Administration. There has NEVER been such a difference before,” Trump wrote Sunday, emphasis his.
Also, while I don't agree with all he's doing, especially his continued trait of making stuff up, I'm not surprised but and perhaps a little impressed with the speed of which he's turned things upside down.

Speed in creating disruption and chaos is a plan when fundamentally disrupting a government. Slow disruption allows opposition time to plan and respond. Slow attacks allow plans for coordinated defense of the democracy.
Yeah we know an infection will kill you or cause cancer, but what we need to know if someone may become syncopal after an injection.
Someone had to take the fall for the exposing the incompetent and sloppy shadow g government.

QuoteNational Security Adviser Mike Waltz has left his post, according to BBC's US media partner CBS News
He is the first member of Trump's senior leadership team to leave in the president's second term
Waltz created the Signal group chat, to which a journalist was inadvertently added, where high-ranking officials planned military strikes in Yemen
Trump's team previously downplayed the security risks and said no classified material was shared in the chat
The move comes in the same week Trump has celebrated his first 100 days in office
Maybe now the press will stop talking about the security breaches and leaks at the DOD. That's probably what Trump is hoping.

Wrong may be wrong, but just because Team Trump says something is wrong doesn't mean that it was actually wrong. It is not uncommon for them to make lots of mistakes. They are sloppy in their planning and execution and they don't rely upon facts to make their claims.
