Confirmation Hearings for the Trump's incredibly bad choices for cabinet leadership positions.  Traitors, drunks, rapists, pet killers and television personalities were the first choice of the mentally ill old man.  

My Senator, Dan Sullivan is all over his social media singing the praises of these folk so we should expect most of them to be confirmed.   

Hegseths hearing should be starting about now.

Because it reeks of corruption? Of doling out favors to his friends? Sucking up to the guy who is firing VA staff and forest rangers? The guy who says a significant part of my retirement is a Ponzi scheme?

I thought corruption for the sake of combating global warming was acceptable?

A ponzi scheme is paying off old investors with funds from new investors.   That's exactly what social security is.

It's unethical behavior.  The corruption and political favoritism is just out in the open and accepted by conservatives in 2025.

Marjorie Greene warned "just wait until you're forced to buy an electric vehicle".  So not sure why the anti-climate change people aren't bothered by Trump supporting EV's.  I remember Trump being anti-EV and think we've even discussed them before.

As the stock market lost 5 trillion dollars, he does a commercial for the world's richest man.  I'm not only bothered, I'm disgusted.  If it doesn't make sense for me as a climate change believer, when Biden and Democrats promoted EV's so be it.  Musk needs to rescue his own company and do his own commercials.  He's the world's richest man as of today according to Fortune.

The article talked about the similarities.  It was Musk that said it.  I think for me it's hering my future called a "scheme' as a insult by the world's richest man.

It is not because it is allegedly an environmentally better car (I personally am not  onboard with them). It is the fact he flouts just about every expectation of the behavior of a president. The right lost their damn minds over a tan suit! He has this person who is not elected, running the country! Just picture 8 months ago and Biden brings in a person with billions of dollars  to his election, and then gets repaid with contracts and unprecedented power. Holy cow the squealing  would be insane!!

No one wants waste and abuse. But there are ways to go about these reductions, by forensic accountants and not techno  bros.

People are "offended" that Musk is telling lies about SS because he wants to end the program and Trump supporters simply accept and repeat the lies with no apparent critical thought.  No, it really isn't like a ponzi scheme, but some people just can't get past that suggestion once it's seeded into their thoughts.  That's the power of indoctrination.

Agreed.  Let's weed out fraud and inefficiency but let's be honest about it.  You can convince the public that we need to weed out fraud, waste and abuse without making things up.
