Trump's DERP State

Published

Confirmation Hearings for the Trump's incredibly bad choices for cabinet leadership positions.  Traitors, drunks, rapists, pet killers and television personalities were the first choice of the mentally ill old man.

My Senator, Dan Sullivan is all over his social media singing the praises of these folk so we should expect most of them to be confirmed.

Hegseths hearing should be starting about now.

What a fantastic example of the "tolerant compassionate left". LOL

Boohoo? This entire thread is Booho Trump won. Trump is mean and want us to be accountable for government spending so we can continue to fire money at minorities and tell them they are victims.

Trump is doing what I voted him to do(maybe not the way I like) but nonetheless.  I have no tears to give.

agree, mmmhmm. and let's see

It's not like they.......didn't...try....to overthrow.....the govt...before..

It's all about the freedom to be as hateful, dishonest, mean-spirited and destructive as they want while being shielded from the consequences of their own behavior. Magadonians chose their leadership but depend on "compassion" and "tolerance" to catch them when that leadership sends them off a cliff.

Not just MAGA, either. trump won the popular vote, but that's not the majority of voters. Non-voters and "protest" voters also voted for the current state of affairs.

Perhaps it's more compassionate approach is to allow them to deal with the results of their own choices.

Meanwhile, I have a bad case of compassion fatigue.

Apparently our secretary of education wanted this executive order to improve classroom discipline.

I'm confused though, why do the states need the feds to dictate discipline strategies or policies for classrooms?  Also, does Secretary McMahon think this is part of having an A1 education system?

Do you suppose that Noem's department of Homeland Security was sloppy or intentional when they released the address of the family home?  I think it was intentional but sloppy is the baseline for most everything from the administration so maybe sloppiness played a part as well.

Yesterday, the court proceedings about due process reflected that Noem may be the first Trump official to be held in contempt.

Actually, if you read the article, you'll see Trump is simply undoing what the Obama administration implemented.

Do you even read the links you post?  Are you okay with people being treated differently based on race?  Creating a more equitable school environment is a good thing versus one that fosters an environment of black privilege that encourages bad behavior.

"In 2014, the Obama Administration issued guidance pressuring schools (including with threatened loss of federal funding) to impose discipline in a manner designed to equalize disciplinary rates by race, rather than simply imposing discipline based on objective behavior alone.

As a result, students were disciplined differently depending on their race, and some students who should have been suspended or expelled for dangerous behavior remained in the classroom.

A 2018 Federal Commission on School Safety report found that schools ignored or covered up student misconduct to avoid federal scrutiny over racial disparities in discipline data."

I think Nutmegg was mocking the term A (number 1) instead of A (letter I) that she used.  She's the head of the Department of Education and making a grammatical error and people are mocking her for that.

In the article these policies were not necessarily Obama era ones.

Quote

President Trump eliminated divisive DEI programs in classrooms to foster unity and focus on academic excellence.

President Trump signed an Executive Order to expand educational freedom and opportunity for families.

President Trump directed the Secretary of Education to take all necessary steps to facilitate the closure of the Department of Education and return education authority to the States to better serve children.

President Trump prohibited federal funding for COVID-19 vaccine mandates in schools.

President Trump signed an Executive Order to keep men out of women's sports and locker rooms.

Didn't even notice.

The leader of Dept of Education should probably have a proofreader or two.

I currently work in a school.  I find myself being extra paranoid of grammar and spelling in my emails to staff.  LOL

Yeah.  The secretary of education made a fool of herself a couple days back about AI versus A1.

Today, Director Patel arrested a Wisconsin Judge for immigration obstruction.  Funny that they can ignore court orders but the court can't ignore them.

She actually said it out loud, saying A One.  Kind of embarrassing.

Twice I dated someone in academia and was very mindful of grammar.  Now, not so much as I'm sure you've noticed.  LOL
