So I took my NCLEX RN today and stoped at 80 questions. I know they say not to freak out based on the number of questions you got but I have not heard of anyone getting 80 questions. I have heard like either 75 or 265. I felt like I was guessing the whole time. There were a ton of priority questions, and I felt like I was guessing at those too. Anyone else in the same boat as me? :crying2:
Number of questions on the exam means nothing in determining if one passes, and any number can be game.
Getting the last question right or wrong also does not determine anything.
It is impossible to second guess what your result is going to be. The good thing that you have on your side is that 85% pass the first time that they test if they trained in the US, so that is in your favor as well.
And then you can look at it from the other side, what if you had to wait several months for results and the exam was only offered two times per year as it was before the NCLEX when each state had their own specific exam and the results were not accepted in all states. If you wished to move to another state, chances were high that you would have to write an exam again.
Congrats CCakes! I took mine yesterday (Tuesday). I had 75 questions and took it in less than an hour, but I was a little freaked because I got tons of endocrinology - and I'm secure in my endocrine knowledge! Turns out 2 others from my class who took it with me had 75 and 80 questions and ALSO had tons of endocrine! So I'm thinking it's just the flavor of the day. I feel pretty good and am just waiting for results - hopefully by tomorrow! Congrats again - maybe I'll be the one getting congratulations tomorrow!!!
