Hi soon_2_be_rn! I took the NCLEX-RN yesterday morning. I do understand EXACTLY how you feel. I came in with a positive attitude but I got out feeling so uncertain, or rather certain about my failure. I honestly felt like I was guessing the answers to every single question. The computer shut-off at 75 Qs. I had about 26 SATAs (I wasn't able to keep track of the Qs about prioritization, delegation), a single drug calculation Q, and some drug Qs. I was hoping for more questions to pop out after 75. But it didn't!
I'm still waiting for the result. I really feel so sure about my failure, but in my heart I'm still hoping that my guesses were right. It's a long shot, but let's hope for the best.

for rest of 2 days while your'e waiting for your results, see yourself going on pearsonvue and checkiing the status of your result, and when you click on status, you see yourself PASS next to your date of NCLEX-RN. do this for two days and mentally, think that you know that you've passed your exam and say it to yourself that you have passed this exam. for these 2 days, just think positive. do not let any negative thought come to your mind. Mind is the creator of your result. if you feel overwhelmed of thoughts, just go out for a walk or go watch a movie tonight and don't think about NCLEX but DO NOT LET N E NEGATIVE THOUGHT COME TO YOUR MIND.
result will be in your favor.
Best wishes for all who took test today.
please post your result as soon as you get.
good luck

I was just wondering how soon is too soon to study for the NCLEX. I will be starting my senior year this fall. I want to start preparing for the NCLEX because the school I attend will allow you to take the NCLEX early only if you pass the school NCLEX test. Any advice on how soon, and if it is okay to early, how many questions would you study per day or week or month.

OMG I would hate to get that many SATA! Imvho if you got the minimum (75 RN or 85 PN) that is a great sign. Wishing you well.

Wow, I'm not sure how they can allow you to take the NCLEX before you have graduated from your nursing program. That's pretty interesting. Here in Florida the BON has to have proof that you have graduated and the degree conferred date on the transcripts. In my last semester (IV), my instructors did a lot of activities with nclex type questions and put them on our tests. We had so much work this last semester that I didn't have much time to get into the books like you need to in preperation for nclex (I've already sat for the PN a few years ago). I recommend focusing your studies on the material out of your nursing books from school, and then maybe practicing nclex type questions just on the material you are covering for a test. Before you know it, you will have covered many nclex questions but don't focus on that. Remember, if you need to challenge a test question it will be out of your nursing books, not the nclex book. Good luck!!!
Think positive soon2bern!!!!! You probably did better than you think. Good LUck!!!!
