Took the Nclex Today

well took the test today, and i'm numb..........had 75 questions 15 sata, about 10 priority, and only 3 or 4 delegation......lots of infection control, one dose calculation, lots of meds that i had no clue about...no sure if i passed or failed.:uhoh3:

[color=#808080]is it really definite :confused: that you can check the nclex-rn result on california website if you have an sss#? i took my exam last may 12, 2008 (75 items, a lot of select all that apply, 2 calculations, priority, delegations, about 12 pharmacology).

[color=#808080]'til now i haven't :bugeyes: received any letter from california board. i did also check their website (license verification section)...still got no result of my search. :crash_com

[color=#808080]please, could someone verify if checking on their website will really give me an answer while waiting for the ‘snail mail’ :yawn: . and how long do they post or update it after you took the exam and in case if i pass? :tku:

hey..i took the test last may12..and 'til now i got no result-yet. i stopped looking up at the ca bon site and just wait for the mail. since checking at the site makes me feel more stressful with the "no records returned" popping on the screen. they says 3-10 workind days after you sat on the nclex. i'll pray for you..god bless!

Yah, it's true checking the CA BON website everyday makes my heart pounds :redbeathe so fast...even just typing :typing your name on it. Wow, I'm not sure how they can allow you to take the NCLEX before you have graduated from your nursing program. That's pretty interesting. Here in Florida the BON has to have proof that you have graduated and the degree conferred date on the transcripts. In my last semester (IV), my instructors did a lot of activities with nclex type questions and put them on our tests. We had so much work this last semester that I didn't have much time to get into the books like you need to in preperation for nclex (I've already sat for the PN a few years ago). I recommend focusing your studies on the material out of your nursing books from school, and then maybe practicing nclex type questions just on the material you are covering for a test. Before you know it, you will have covered many nclex questions but don't focus on that. Remember, if you need to challenge a test question it will be out of your nursing books, not the nclex book. Well all schools are different. We are only allowed to take the NCLEX early (2 weeks or so before graduating) and that is only after you pass a very difficult school NCLEX.
