Took NCLEX-RN today

Nursing Students NCLEX

I have taken the test today and as many of you said before there were very few questions I was sure of the answer. Most of the questions had 2 right answers, very difficult to choose from. I wouldn't say it was a hard, neither an easy test, it was just something I've never experienced in Nursing school, neither in the other tests I've taken in preparation for it.

The computer shut off at 75 questions (truly this doesn't tell me anything). I had about 5-6 math questions (I even started the test with a math question) and I am sure I answer them right. I don't think there would be any math question that I would normally get wrong. Math was always my best.

So...I was very surprised to get so many math questions. I was praying for that though!

I had 6 select all that apply. The rest was bunch of GI, infectious diseases, some respiratory, chest tubes, community health, etc.

Also, I couldn't really tell which were the hard and easy questions. I know the last 3 questions were very hard though.

Anways, I will not find out the asnwer till Tuesday or Thursday, so there is some waiting and stressing over the waiting time.

Hey grinnurse, yeah I had heard that they might post the results on the BNE website on Sunday also. However, some friends of mine took it on Wednesday and their results aren't up yet. So, I'm thinking that my results may not be up by tomorrow, but I'm still going to check! Thanks for the encouragement, its going to be a hard weekend! :)

Hi....I felt the same way after I took mine on Thursday....the computer shut off at 75....but I knew that I had missed the last two because I looked them up as soon as I got out to my car. I had all teaching, endocrine, and ER prioritization...no math or peds at all, and three pick all that apply. I felt like I guessed a lot and pretty much everything was a blur when I left....but Pearson-Vue said I passed this AM....so it is partytime tonight in Texas!!! I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you!!!

I took my NCLEX on June 1 and found out June 3 I PASSED!!! I got 75 questions, covering all aspects of nursing. Had only 1 math question and 3 select all that apply.

I've spoken with several of my classmates (some took the test on June 2) and they all received 75 questions.

Glad it's over and glad I can sign my name with an "RN" behind it!!!:balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons:

Hello all-

I am scheduled to test on June 30th----I have been reading every thing I can and taking hundreds of test questions. I can't help but think I should be getting them all right at this point and I am not!! I was an A student in nursing school but my practice tests would lead you to believe otherwise. Any suggestions from those that have passed? Congratulations to all and I hope to join you at the end of the month!!! Thanks. jess

:) Hey....I was an A student in school too.....but I never could seem to break past 79% on those practice tests in Kaplan or Saunders....I took the test on Thursday, it shut off at 75 and just found out yesterday that I passed. I was really worried after the test because I felt like I guessed on a lot of the questions. The questions were unfamiliar to me and hard...lots of prioritization and teaching.....but from the feedback I have gotten from others, the more harder level 4 type questions you get, the better you are doing and the faster the test shuts down. Have faith in yourself.....you have it all up in your brain already! You can do it!!!

I studied for NCLEX using Saunders, Mosby, Kaplan, Lippincott, Rayfield and a "flashcard" type book. Anything with CD-ROMs and rationales - the rationales are essential.

Don't feel bad about not getting all of the questions correct - I don't think there is any way you ever could. I remember several NCLEX questions I got wrong and if I could reach my own rear end , I'd kick it!! Just keep on studying, but give yourself some YOU time!

Good Luck

Cindy Mac

I just found out today that I passed, I am very excited and relieved!! My results were posted on the Pearson vue website, but not on the Texas BNE site yet, but I expect it to be later in the week. Congrats to everyone who passed and good luck to those taking it soon, keep a positive attitude, it can be done! :)
