Took NCLEX-RN today

I have taken the test today and as many of you said before there were very few questions I was sure of the answer. Most of the questions had 2 right answers, very difficult to choose from. I wouldn't say it was a hard, neither an easy test, it was just something I've never experienced in Nursing school, neither in the other tests I've taken in preparation for it.

The computer shut off at 75 questions (truly this doesn't tell me anything). I had about 5-6 math questions (I even started the test with a math question) and I am sure I answer them right. I don't think there would be any math question that I would normally get wrong. Math was always my best.

So...I was very surprised to get so many math questions. I was praying for that though!

I had 6 select all that apply. The rest was bunch of GI, infectious diseases, some respiratory, chest tubes, community health, etc.

Also, I couldn't really tell which were the hard and easy questions. I know the last 3 questions were very hard though.

Anways, I will not find out the asnwer till Tuesday or Thursday, so there is some waiting and stressing over the waiting time.

I just found out today that I passed, I am very excited and relieved!! My results were posted on the Pearson vue website, but not on the Texas BNE site yet, but I expect it to be later in the week. Congrats to everyone who passed and good luck to those taking it soon, keep a positive attitude, it can be done! :)

flaced~ I know it is hard to wait. You can find out your results two days after the test on the Pearson vue website, that is what I did (I took the test Friday and found out Sunday). That site is http://www.pearsonvue.com/nclex. You sign in with the username and password they gave you, and pay $7.95 and it will tell you whether you passed or failed. The number to call is a 900 number, on my phone it doesn't work and it costs $9.95, but that number is 1-900-776-2539. Well good luck and I start work next Monday too, so have a good last week of vacation! :)

Thanks Holli! I'm trying my best not to worry about it, because at this point it isn't going to change the outcome. Good luck to you on Monday, it is stressful, but just take your time. I definitely don't want to discourage anyone from studying because there are a lot of things I did recognize today from things I studied recently. But there are just so many priority questions and delegation questions that you really can't study for. So good luck, have a good and restful weekend and try not to stress too much (I know its hard :) ).

I recently passed with 75 questions. I really know how those two days can really play with your head. I was being totally obsessive about the results for a couple of days and checked the computer every few hours. I also was looking up answers to the questions -- and after the first day, I realized that I need to just relax. What was done was done, and I need to just relax and prepare myself for the results. I knew that I was a good student, I had family and friends who would support me either way, and that most people (98%)who get 75 questions will pass. And I did! Good luck and Godspeed!

Holli, GN, taking NCLEX on June 13th

Hi Holli,

Good luck on you NCLEX June 13th :) I think Monday's are a good choice because you won't have to wait the weekend.

I'm having a hard time waiting. I have not recieved my ATT yet. As I said before, my information has been into the state and accepted since 5/10/05, I've recieved my graduation certificate/GPA-honors and the state has not processed my graduation paperwork yet.

My question is: How long did it to get your NCLEX scheduled after you recieved your ATT? Thanks soooo much for the info...
