Took NCLEX-RN today

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I have taken the test today and as many of you said before there were very few questions I was sure of the answer. Most of the questions had 2 right answers, very difficult to choose from. I wouldn't say it was a hard, neither an easy test, it was just something I've never experienced in Nursing school, neither in the other tests I've taken in preparation for it.

The computer shut off at 75 questions (truly this doesn't tell me anything). I had about 5-6 math questions (I even started the test with a math question) and I am sure I answer them right. I don't think there would be any math question that I would normally get wrong. Math was always my best.

So...I was very surprised to get so many math questions. I was praying for that though!

I had 6 select all that apply. The rest was bunch of GI, infectious diseases, some respiratory, chest tubes, community health, etc.

Also, I couldn't really tell which were the hard and easy questions. I know the last 3 questions were very hard though.

Anways, I will not find out the asnwer till Tuesday or Thursday, so there is some waiting and stressing over the waiting time.

Good luck !

So you have to wait only a few days? Thats great !

Hi I also took my test yesterday. I am sure you passed because most of the people I know did it with just 75 question. Good luck!!! That was not the case for me though, but like what i was always thinking before, during and after the test...that God has a way to make things better for you and We should leave it up to Him now to decide whats next because we did our part. Now we just have to hope and pray that we passed...Again positive thoughts!!!GODLUCK!!!!

Good luck flaced and kamee! Let us know when you find out!

Holli, GN, taking NCLEX on June 13th

Specializes in Med/Surge.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!!

Thats what I have been doing...and trying to keep myself busy to get my mind off worrying :uhoh21: , feels like Im getting sick too :o .Thanks for your encouragement.

I also took NCLEX today, but I had a lot more than 75 questions, which makes me feel very uneasy, I thought it was never going to end. I agree with everyone also, there were very few questions where I was 100%confident that I knew the answer. I definitely don't feel that my studying or any amount of studying would have prepared me for it. I hope everyone did well, and now the hard part-waiting! I will also find out Tuesday or Wednesday if I passed, but that still seems like forever. Everyone stay in high spirits and know it is not the end of the world if we don't pass, but it would be great if we did!!

Good luck aggienurse! I hope the weekend doesn't seem too long!

I signed up to take it on a Monday because I couldn't stand the idea of wondering for a weekend, it just seems longer somehow.

I am to the point now of wondering if any studying is going to help!?!

when the computer turned off when i finished my test i was terrified, but i passed. what really scared me was the questions i could remember and i looked up i had gotten wrong. i never thought i would make it through school but now i have been a nurse for one whole year

hold on it goes fast

Thanks Holli! I'm trying my best not to worry about it, because at this point it isn't going to change the outcome. Good luck to you on Monday, it is stressful, but just take your time. I definitely don't want to discourage anyone from studying because there are a lot of things I did recognize today from things I studied recently. But there are just so many priority questions and delegation questions that you really can't study for. So good luck, have a good and restful weekend and try not to stress too much (I know its hard :) ).

Hey Aggienurse-

You might want to start checking the Texas BNE website cause I had a friend that took hers on a Friday and it was posted to that sight on Sunday. Wouldn't hurt anyway. Look in the verification area.

Still have my fingers crossed for ya'll.

Holli good luck to you as well on the 13th.
