Does anyone here work at the same study for NCLEX?

]I did. I did not study on the days I worked though. I only worked 28 hours a week in order to study as well. I set aside 1-2 hours every morning for study time, had lunch and 30 minutes of house cleaning, Then back to studying for another 1-2 hours, make dinner, relax for 30 minutes-1 hr then read the Random Facts Thread for a little while, and then bedtime. Basically, I set a schedule and I made a commitment to really stick to it. ( that's the key ) I included some me time everyday as well. Don't forget to take care of yourself. I let the house go to some extent. Now that I passed, my house is clean again. It really isn't too important what book you use as long as you are getting something out of it. NCLEX is not testing you so much on what you know, rather, they want to know how you'll use what you know. They want to test you to see if you'll provide safe effective care according to standards of practice. Good luck.:D

Thanks Melinurse. I am having hard time studying at the same time working full time. But I always see to it that I study everyday. I dont exhaust myself if I feel so tried because I know the things I studied will not be absorbed also.

I heard the Saunders CD did not help at all. Is that true

Nclex style questions. Do thousands of them. I did 200 random questions on my laptop everyday from July to Sept, reviewing both the correct and incorrect rationales.

And no its not true, Shahsa, I found the Saunders CD to be the bulk of my reason for success, following Kaplan's online questions.

Finally. The most important tip to getting through this is to have faith. Believe in yourself and pray. For a time several days before the exam I had been absolutely sure I had no chance of passing despite the efforts I've put in for the past months, sometimes to the point of breaking down. But I prayed. And I had attained faith in myself the day of the exam, feeling so calm and sure as I've never felt in so long. 2 days later I found that I passed in 75q.

I took the NCLEX on Sept. 30, 2008 and passed with 75 q's. The best item I used to prepare was the "NCLEX RN made easy". I know many instructors disapprove, however, the questions are direct and to the point, as is the NCLEX. I took Kaplan earlier in May and this got me going in the right direction. However, I truly believe that in order to be successful in passing, you must believe in yourself. You can not go into the test thinking that you might pass, you MUST BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL PASS!!!! There is no room for doubt!!!
