  1. from what I've read, nurses who are to be deployed are not alone, rather there are 5 of them in a certain municipality.
  2. skills wise I'd go for that tertiary hospital (coming from someone who does volunteer work at a secondary hospital). But its really hard to find a job nowadays, good for you you have one right now.
  3. as far as I can remember my classmate went back to all the hospitals she had her completion and copied the cases again.. Why did she lost it in the first place? I kept mine in the vault that time so it wouldn't be lost lol..
  4. Only a few days to go before the big day for those 90K nursing students. I wonder how many would pass this time.:typing
  5. Sometimes when I really think about it, I really have no choice now, IMO most of us newly graduate nurses here in the Philippines don't have a choice anymore. We are stuck with the nursing education we once thought would give us better life but NO. And as for the volunteer work everyone is talking about, IMO its better than doing nothing, because even though we try so hard we wouldn't get accepted for a job here, and abroad (because they prefer those with work experience). So instead of sulking at home some of us, most of us rather prefer to volunteer in hospitals, not paid..:typing
  6. Im from the Phils. the reason that I wouldn't recommend other taking the course is that there are already many of us here and that is the main problem of our country right now. I mean nursing school here are like mushrooms popping out everywhere
  7. Only if only people get a little bit strict when it comes to their system. Well I guess we cannot blame all of this to the government but this has been really really frustrating..
  8. yes I've seen this on the news lately.. I couldn't see the government doing anything about it because as far as everyone is saying here they are just making money out of nursing. One of my senior nurse told me this has happened few years back, 1981 she said that almost everyone took nursing.
  9. I am guilty of this as well, unfair, yes, but if I didn't gave it a shot I might have been a bum up until now..
  10. You're on your way. Good vibes
  11. In our country I would go for a NO.. not recommend it at all
  12. I put it when writing formal letters, but other than that I will say no. Im not really sure if Im not proud of it or not, I just don't feel like the world knowing that Im a nurse and then asking weird questions that only doctors could answer. sheesh
  13. I took mine at some private hospital in Laguna.. I had my license in hand while my friend only had his claim stub that time. A month or so we recieve the IVT license at the same time..
