  3. had my exam nov. 11 and bumped into this thread-tried it the next day and kept getting the pop-up window that I should contact the Nursing Board etc... then after 48 hours used the quick result option with pearson vue and saw that I PASSED!!! yahooo!!!! To God be the Glory!!! tc you guys!!:redpinkhe:redpinkhe
  4. took the exam on wednesday 11/11 at 8am...a lot of prioritization, delegation, infection control, cohorting patients,SATA, new drug I have never heard before the crayziest exam ever and it stopped at 75... the wait was more dreadful than the exam but the pearson vue trick worked...i tried to re-register and it gave me this pop up that says i have registered before and contact the Nevada Nursing ..i tried this the next day...then on Friday after 48 hours and it said the test result was available...paid $7.95 for the quick view result and found our I PASSED!!!! yahoooo... Thank God...now i can relax a little bit before looking for work...Goodluck to all and try until you make it!!!

  6. definitely relocate and find a hospital that have good benefits so that you dont have to worry on making ends meet..when you love what you do everything else falls accordingly..sometimes in life, we just have to take steps behind to see the bigger picture and you'll be able to know exactly what you want..Godspeed and you'll do just fine..life's too short to worry.. =)

  10. i know we are all struggling but as for me there are good and bad news that goes hand and hand and i think nurses are not just trained to take care of patients but at the same time use some of that therapeutic skills we gained in school to apply it in our lives after passing the NLE in june 2006 i went to vancouver bc wherein im a permanent resident and gave birth to a beautiful baby...afterwards moved to reno nevada with my husband but first as tourist in the US i applied at renown health and talked to the human resource and advised to post my resume on any jobs listed that may interest me had couple calls from orthopedic and nephro department-needless to say got my first interview with the orthopedic supervisor and head nurse and called me the next day that i was hired now there's a job, but my Interim Permit came a month later and i didnt have my Social Security Number yet..so i was introduced to an immigration agent that helped me and maybe in a little bit over than 6 months my EAD or emloyment authorization document=work visa arrived applied for my SSN for work but here's the challenge i took my first nclex exam with lack of preparation thinking everything was stoc knowledge and all i had were Canadian Board reviewers from my mom whose an Canadian RN-needless to say i failed =( so this time i went to a review school at Univ of NEvada Reno with Hurst review and my knowledge and understanding improved.. it's very different from the philippine approach bec when i went to school in the phils i can see that it was tailored to public community health nursing etc.. so with a better understanding this time and still weak in pharmacology and test taking strategy on my 2nd attempt i failed but this time majority of my subjects example management and delegation were near passing... evaluation were only categorized into 3 levels below, near or above the passing grade and when you get your result it's either pass or fail and no percentage whatsoever so i maybe a little bit frustrated but i saw some improvement and we just continue moving forward and im slowly studying until i get my next authorization to test i have researched and planning on taking suzanne's plan here so tc everyone and let's all be optimistic and we will all get there with patience and tenacity and of course with God's help...:redpinkhe
  11. i used to live in vancouver, bc canada and moved here in reno, nevada i have travelled to la,san francisco, portland, nyc, virginia etc.. and you know what when im away i think about going home to reno it is truly the biggest little city in the world it's big enough that you have everything you need unlike for instance nyc where everything is so far and traffic is the main concern there's barely any traffic here and like what the other post said there are many decent safe places you can live.. also lake tahoe is just less than couple hours away where you could relax on your days off.. hope you decide to come live in reno tc and Godspeed:redpinkhe
  12. i wish you the best kenraRN, youll do just fine..tc
