QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

Democracy? Is Democracy using a old man, twisting laws to "get Trump" by any means necessary? That's Democracy.
Nah... none of that has anything to do with Democracy. You are confused. Democracy is about every citizen voting and every vote getting counted, even if that means that the results aren't fully tabulated on election day. Voter restrictions are a favorite tool of republican legislators at the state level.
You are planning to vote for the guy who has been very clear that our Constitution and laws are inconvenient for him. You are happy to ignore his abuse of power and talk of terminating parts of the Constitution and vote for him in the face of Project 2025.
This reality that Trump will be elevated by you and millions more, regardless of the threat he represents to our republic, is sobering. Propaganda works.

The believe that Trump is "below the law" is because that is what they hear over and over. Outside of that delusion, Trump seems to be subjected to grand juries and evidence and legal processes just like any other wildly famous and wealthy man with immeasurable political influence. His experience certainly doesn't mirror that of a commoner, it is an attempt to hold a powerful man accountable. But it's true, lots of people believe that all attempts to hold Trump accountable are just weaponization of the justice system against a totally innocent man. Just like they believed that the Mueller report found nothing or that Fauci was the guy responsible for Trump's incompetent pandemic leadership. Exactly like so many people believe that the 2020 election was stolen and 010621 was nothing more than a simple protest of a free and fair election, no different from BLM protests. Trump and the right wing media have convinced millions of Americans of things which are not true. They manipulate that indoctrinated thinking to motivate voting and they used it to assemble a large crowd on 010621.
Yes, Trump has earned a few descriptives and felon is his newest.
Your theory suggests that many independents and many who voted for Biden the first time are now suddenly indoctrinated.
toomuchbaloney said:You're the one who supports the candidate favored by the nazis... that's on you. My grandma used to say that when you lie with dogs you get up with fleas. Those kind of character based proverbs aren't really meaningful to Trump supporters.
Really? Where's your evidence that "Nazis favor Trump"? Have you asked them?
Even if you could provide some evidence of this, it doesn't mean people who vote for Trump now have fleas from Nazis. LOL
We already discussed this regarding "cultists". You acknowledge not all Trump supporters are "cultists" but failed to provide any tangible evidence in which you boisterously claim you always consider and have.
I'm sure there's murderers and pedophiles that have voted for both Trump and Biden. You vote Biden so you associate yourself with murders because a few may have voted for Biden too.
Again with the guilt by association fallacy propaganda tactic.
Que the ad nauseum of Trump's crimes..................
Oh and your claim about Trump calling racist "fine people" has been debunked by far left Snopes.
No, Trump Did Not Call Neo-Nazis and White Supremacists 'Very Fine People'

toomuchbaloney said:Are you sure that Trump hasn't ever used a vulnerable person, exploited them and then thrown them away? I bet Jenna Ellis feels exploited. Trump is rather famous for using people and then throwing them under the bus. Does that misuse of people over and over again count or are you only speculating about elder abuse?
Remember how the democratic party used a serial liar and conman to bolster their majority in Congress until they just couldn't ignore his dishonesty anymore and were forced to "throw him away"? Oh wait, that wasn't democrats using that young lying conman in that way before kicking him to the curb.
The people you speak of were fully able and cognitively intact. They are able to make their own decisions.
The democrats used Biden because he was vulnerable and could be easily controlled. Now that either they can no longer hide his cognition or are just realizing the truth, he is no longer useful to them.
So they threw a serial liar away because he was a liar? What's wrong with that? LOL Was this person cognitively challenged?
Are you saying the dems are justified in doing away with Biden?
How dare them look for a crime, find one and convict him. That's really what people are saying. "Yeah I know he's immoral...but I'm okay with it and you never really should have went after him anyway even if you think he's guilty of crimes".
But Biden.......but her emails....everyone lies, why pick on Trump?
Beerman said:A felon is someone who has been convicted of felonies. Not sure what you're trying to say about that.
I apologize. I guess in my head because he was tried once I considered him a convicted felon (singular) not convicted of felonies. My bad for that. Semantics. We can drop it.

I apologize for being so snarky, but that's how some people sound to me and I don't apologize for that. I probably should have kept it to myself.
I'm thankful for so many things but I wonder if I've ever really been happy about the state of America, especially with the oppression I felt as a young adult, then AIDS happened, then despite the rise of Pride where we are today. It's depressing.
That's dramatic, but anyway Happy 4th of July!

Do you think they would have went after him with such rigor if he was not running for election again? Many people do not.
Could it be precieved as "show me the man and I'll find you the crime"?
Whether he is guilty or not and they would or would not have gone after him, many people feel the cases against him are at least partially politically motivated. Or wouldn't have occured if he wasn't running again.
Considering no one has been charged for one of the crimes, no president has been criminally charged in US history (a few should have been), the blatant campaigning on "getting Trump" by several of the prosecutors, it doesn't take cult like belief to at least wonder.
I think that the fear of prosecuting your political opponent and what that has meant for other nations throughout history, is more than the angst or disgust for Trump's imoral behavior.
However it all is so tiring.

"Hail Trump, hail our people, hail victory" says the neo nazi leader as the crowd throws up the nazi salute.
None of that means that you are those people, only that you are happy to get into their boat because your candidate appeals to them. They like his racist style and cruel fascist policy.
Can you name a group of murderers or pedophiles who have endorsed Biden? Meanwhile, it's not one of Biden's spiritual advisors who sexually abused a teenager.
Nah...I don't think you are guilty of anything beyond believing lies and justifying things that you probably know are not okay.
My opinion of Trump goes back decades and is broadly informed, which helps me to not be bamboozled by the BS that swirls around him.

Yes, that's your speculation, that Biden is easily controlled. The people that you believe are controlling Biden have accomplished some good things for we the people over the last 4 years and they have Biden talking about preserving Democracy. Those seem like good things to me.
I'm giving you evidence that the GOP uses people. Trump uses people, it's been his practice for years. He's used women, and small business owners, and people trying to educate themselves at Trump U. Trump used charity donors and veterans and children with cancer to enrich himself. Now you are projecting that character flaw onto others.
No, I'm not saying that.

Digging up dirt on your political opponent is pretty much a tradition. It is also a tradition of the press to dig up dirt. People try real hard to find things like extra material affairs, bribes, campaign finance missuse, even Watergate. Over and over politicians have been exposed for crimes and social misconduct. So yes, they likely went after Trump because he was running for President again and he was guilty...and that's a problem?
Comer has pledged to go after Biden's crimes. Jim Jordan as well who also wants to go after Biden's brother and son: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cp99lxw39x1o
Does that bother you as well because it's clearly politically motivated to smear him.
I'm feeling nothing about people being concerned that Trump was prosecuted but showing no concern that he his an assault on Democracy itself.
