QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

What will I do or say? I'll work on phone calls and work to increase the number of people who vote. I'll vote in person although my a vote in Alaska has zero value with the EC.
If Biden loses I will be concerned about the future of our republic.
You are projecting Trump's election denials onto others. That's sort of sad, really.
Oh... you've circled back to this right wing talking point... maybe you forgot that Trump is the candidate who is endorsed by the neo nazis, white nationalists and the KKK since we discussed this last time you brought it up.
It's a right wing talking point because the left wing will not acknowledge it because it goes against the left narrative.
Sure, some extremist may have voted Trump but Biden has a habit of praising anti civil right politicians and segregationist. Even according to his VP.
"It was hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations of two United States senators who built their reputations and career on the segregation of race in this country. It was not only that, but you also worked with them to oppose busing," Harris said.
Some more Biden accolades for politicians who activly sought against cival rigts:
"Biden also has praised South Carolina Sen. Strom Thurmond, who ran for president as a segregationist in 1948 as a Dixiecrat. In 1993, Biden spoke at Thurmond's 90th birthday and praised him by comparing him to Confederate General Robert E. Lee."
Perhaps he also thought some were "very fine people"?
Biden praised then-Mississippi Sen. John Stennis, a staunch segregationist as a "hero" and "the rockbound integrity of the United States Congress" in the 1980s. Biden called Stennis "a hell of a guy" in 2008.
Extreemist may like Trump but Biden thinks segregationist are heros!

According to you. Of course, you also think that January 6th was no big deal and that Trump was among our best presidents ever, so your credibility is a bit tarnished. You are welcome to keep repeating that incorrect information and opinion over and over again. It's a good substitute for thoughtful discussion, eh?
Shrugs
I'll just watch you try to project some of Trump's character flaws onto Biden. It's amusing that you need to beat an already dead horse in this effort.

That's your view.
It's sad that some democrats continue to beat the Biden horse or want to put him out to pasture.
Of course you think Jan.6 that lasted 4 hrs and 0 deaths except a Trump supporter is the biggest deal , worse in history while completely ignoring the 2020 riots. That's because your party and your media tell you that.
Or perhaps it's an original feeling. However I doubt it.
I think that in some respects a person's past reflects who they are, but also sometimes people's recent behavior is going to be how I judge them. Biden is an old man it's easy to dig deep and criticize some of the things he's said and done. Still he was the VP under a Black Man and his VP is a person of color. Obama once said marriage was between a man and woman only, then went on to promote gay marriage and gay rights. My old parents have come a full 180 on many issues around race and sexual preference. Meh......
Anyway, in keeping with the "this is interesting in the news today..." the French rejects the right.
QuoteAfter the shock of French President Emmanuel Macron's decision to call snap elections last month, another surprise came for French voters as polls closed Sunday evening: the far-right National Party (RN) did not receive the majority of the parliamentary seats pollsters had predicted. It didn't even come close.
With voter turnout at its highest rate in more than 40 years, initial estimates suggested the majority of seats would go to the New Popular Front (NFP), a left-wing coalition which quickly banded together just days after Macron announced that legislative elections would take place.

This happened a couple of days after the UK did the same:
QuoteFor the Conservatives — the party of Margaret Thatcher, Boris Johnson and outgoing Prime Minister Rishi Sunak — it was the worst defeat in their party's nearly 200-year history. Prominent lawmakers including former Prime Minister Liz Truss, Jacob Rees-Mogg and Penny Mordaunt lost their seats in Parliament. Sunak retained his seat but resigned Friday as Conservative Party leader, and apologized to the country.

Right wing extremists are getting reminded that in general, most people don't really like their agendas.

I think we're seeing that in the pushback from liberals against Project 2025 and the subsequent distancing from Republicans themselves against Project 2025. It's clear the extremist agenda isn't a popular one. I hope.

Yes we are seeing pushback. We saw it in 2020 and 2022. Now with the right wing abortion agenda annoying and motivating 70+% of the electorate, coupled with Trump's pathologic lying and P2025, Republicans could be in for a bumpy road in November.
In other news. Did you catch any of the recently released grand jury evidence from Epstein's trial? There are some very interesting interviews with girls who were coerced to give topless massages to older men. Trump's name was mentioned.

Most conservatives don't like right wing extremist either. Yet they will be painted with the guilt by association fallacy.......
