Quote

The abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.

The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood.  I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

So you can't or won't say how the mayor should have responded after an unarmed  mom in his city was shot, at near point blank range, in the face.

I didn't realize that was a serious question.   And no, I won't be answering it.

This is why officers shoot people who try and run them over because they don't want to die apprehending the bad guys..

And this is why they don't trust that the bad guys won't go off the rails, because they have no idea who they are dealing with..

"she was described as an anti-ICE "warrior" and was part of a group of activists who worked to "document and resist" the federal immigration crackdown in Minnesota.

Renee Nicole Good, 37, who moved to Minneapolis last year, became involved with anti-ICE activists through her 6-year-old son's charter school, which boasts that it puts "social justice first" and involves children "in political and social activism””

Apparently she moved her kids to Canada after Trump won the election and then back to the US. Just a typical Mom dragging her kids around and committing crimes because you know Bad Orange Man. I honestly feel bad for these people who become so deranged. Maybe we should all ask ourselves why they become so obsessed. I have thoughts that seem pretty obvious!

I will wait and see your answers to Beerman (above) question why y"all think this was murder.

I don't think it is clear why the deceased was in the area that she was, so I think it's premature to say that she inserted herself in the situation, despite what a single, unnamed witness said. It is also not clear that she attempted to run over the ICE agent. He did run around her car and positioned himself near the front driver side of the car. I don't there is any LEO training that says that is a safe position,

She was in an area where protesters were clasing with ICE, her wife admitted fault that they were there, the driver's family said she went there on purpose, she was in the driver's seat of a vehicle blocking the road.  Its clear to most she inserted herself into the situation.

Its premature to say so, but not premature to say, as you did, that the agent is responsible for murder?

How should they have handled the situation?

Do you think the driver should have acted differently?

You can keep repeating that the driver tried to ram the agent standing at the drivers' side front corner all you want. However, her front tires clearly turn to the right as she is advancing. If she was attempting to ram the agent, wouldn't she keep her front tires straight?

How did the officer keep himself safer by shooting the driver of a moving vehicle? The vehicle kept moving until it struck a car and lightpost down the street, potentially injuring others. The officer would have been safer by not standing near the front of the vehicle.

Whether or not the deceased woman had moved to Canada has no bearing at all in this case.

You can see the driver trying to leave the scene of the crime after being told to get out of the car by the officer. No matter which way you think the wheels were turned she did in fact hit the officer with her car. Any officer in these type of situations have to make a very quick decision what to do.... Will the driver continue to attempt to hit other officers, other people etc... and it seems that he thought not only was his life in danger but probably others as well based on her erratic/non compliant behavior.
Her state of mind had everything to do with this case. She obviously was deranged enough to pack up her three kids and wife and move to Canada because of Trump, for ever what reason didn't like it there and moved back and got involved with other deranged anti ICE people. She disrupted her kids lives twice all bc she doesn't like Trump and came back to chase ICE away from making valid arrests. Does that sound like a stable person to you. Although the ICE agent obviously didn't know any of that he still had to make a split second decision and he did. Like I said I feel bad for these deranged people and especially (in this case) her children who will not have her anymore. IMO she should have put her kids first but instead she opted to purposefully put herself in the middle of a law enforcement operation without any knowledge of what the person being arrested has done. Why would anyone want to free someone when you don't even know what crime said person as committed and would be running around continuing to commit crimes. Common sense people!!

She bought into the rhetoric over the last few months, like Walz comparing ICE to the Gustapo.  So, in her mind she was right to break the law and think she would just drive away.

Another video. You can see her being non compliant and making eye contact with the officer and clearly accelerating right at him.

It looks like the wife has a video.  I wonder why she hasn't released hers to the media?

You have quite the little narrative there about the woman who was killed, as if to say she deserved to die. She did not. Blocking traffic, IF indeed, that is what she was doing, is NOT a capital offense.
The ICE officer placed himself in danger. He did not need to do that. He could have taken down her license number and reported her to the local PD.

No.  No one has said she deserved to die.

Your first comment on this included a complaint about Trump and Noem blaming the victim for her own murder.

Daisy and I have only been showing you Ms Good's part in this and that she is to blame.

You've added a lot of irrelevant information, and factually incorrect information, and have flat out ignored my invitation to make your case for murder.

Also, earlier you said ICE "inflamed the situation ".  In this latest video, who would you say is inflaming the situation? It seems to be the same parties who created the situation, doesnt it?

LOL nice try! What part about my "little narrative" do you not agree with?

I did not say she deserved to die but it was most definitely her choice to insert herself and her car into the middle of a legitimate ICE arrest, not comply, and then try to run over an officer (as we have said multiple times now). You do the math.
If she was merely blocking traffic and complied she would not be dead now.

The only way the ICE officer placed himself in danger was by showing up for work and having unhinged people (most likely influenced by the leftist media and politicians) try to obstruct justice. The street is not the place for this. Smart people know the arrest is the first step and the perp will have their day in court. Harassing and running over any LEO will never go well. Anyone who is obstructing LEOs are the ones inflaming the situation and they would have to be complete idiots not to know that.

Yes along with a few others, AOC and Mayor Frey just to name a few.
Although to be fair Walz is just probably trying to divert attention from himself and the Somali fraud case that happened right under his nose.
