QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

You also must not be able to come up with examples.
Your gross misunderstanding of that ruling aside, the fact that he had to take a case to the Supreme Court demonstrates that he doesn't go unchecked.
As does the case SCOTUS heard yesterday.
Not to mention the legal setbacks in criminal cases and the lawsuits against his administration that were both brought up in these threads by you.
I love it when you all leave me low hanging fruit.

And yet, the tariffs are still in place, USAID is essentially gone, the East Wing is in fact, gone, and DHS is still violating civil rights and detaining US citizens.
How about those psychos in cabinet positions? JFK jr, Hegseth, Noem, Rollins, et al. ?

Trumps tariffs were put in place based on the legal advice Trump received, yet to be determined by the Supreme Court (last I checked) so that does not even fit as an example of going "unchecked".
USAID programs were canceled bc of fraud and abuse. Some foreign aid programs were kept in place and transferred to the state dept for administration as they already administered other foreign aid plans, and still do. I don't see a problem with cutting fraud/abuse and sliming down the government bureaucracy. So you still have a problem with Trump remodeling (at no expense to taxpayers) in order to make the WH more professional/comfortable for foreign dignitaries? I don't understand your reasoning here except Bad orange man. And yes there have been a few illegal aliens who have had procedural problems and citizens detained in the massive clean up mess created by Biden/Harris when they left the border open to millions of people who we have no idea who they are! These type of enforcement mistakes happen even on a good day so of course they will happen when the system is completely overwhelmed.
Psychos in the cabinet? Didn't know you were able to examine and diagnose these people with your nursing degree.

I think you covered it all quite well!

This feels like another ad hominem attack.
You can't defend mask-wearing goons breaking out car windows and dragging citizens out of their cars so you bring up Biden and Harris. You cannot justify showing up at citizenship swearing in ceremonies and stopping people from the "wrong country" of origin. DHS is intentionally terrorizing people. I am gratified that people are pushing back.
Trump tore down one of the reception areas of the White House, so now there is less space for entertaining. And why does he feel like he needs to throw big parties and entertain foreign dignitaries? I don't think that is one of his constitutional duties. And it's not his house.
Whoever told him that imposing tariffs as a negotiating technique is legal was clearly wrong. Article I, section 8 of the Constitution vests the power to lay and collect tariffs with Congress. So yeah, SCOTUS hasn't stopped him, so he is unchecked.

I am more concerned about the people who are trying to stop ICE (and other LEOs) from arresting illegal alien criminals than a few who had procedural problems or were detained unnecessarily (as unfortunate as that may be). No LEOs are intentionally terrorizing people; it is the criminals who are, and also the Dems who keep doxxing LEOs hence the masks.
I bring up Biden and Harris bc they are responsible for the current mess. Here are a few of those illegals that people are trying to protect from those pesky LEOs:

All Presidents entertain foreign leaders and Trump is not the first to renovate the WH.
There are other articles that allow the President to impose tariffs. Keep reading...

Of course there are still checks and balances which we ARE seeing. Trump can't do anything without the Dems "checking" him. Maybe that is what is unprecedented.
And just bc someone doesn't agree with you does not mean it is an attack.

Accusing someone of acting outside of the scope of their degree and license is an attack.
As far as detaining and mistreating citizens, keep reading:
Completely demolishing an entire wing of the White House is not a renovation.
In his ongoing effort to keep our US strong and protect people here (and in other parts of the world) Trump admin seizes oil tanker from Venezuela
“…Bondi noted the FBI, Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had collaborated to execute a seizure warrant for the tanker, which she said was used to "transport sanctioned oil from Venezuela and Iran.
"For multiple years, the oil tanker has been sanctioned by the United States due to its involvement in an illicit oil shipping network supporting foreign terrorist organizations,” the attorney general posted on social media.
"This seizure, completed off the coast of Venezuela, was conducted safely and securely—and our investigation alongside the Department of Homeland Security to prevent the transport of sanctioned oil continues,” she added".

Yea, seems like Republicans have a hard time sticking together, unlike Democrats. I wonder why...it is a conundrum for sure.

I can't tell if you are serious or sarcastic. Perhaps the Republicans listened to their constituents? I've heard that the current administration is less popular than ever with voters.
