Quote

The abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.

The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood.  I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

It's a combination of effort, intelligence, and culture.  Some groups of people just choose not to succeed in life.  One person's success has no bearing on another person's success.  When I was in my early 20s and applying to police departments for the first time, I was flat out told they were not interested in hiring straight white males.  This is what DEI is about.  Anti-White, Anti-Male, Anti-Hetero, and  Anti-Christian should not be sanctioned by the government.

The system isn't perfect, however.  Currently 1% of the population pay over 40% of federal income taxes in the finanically bigoted progressive tax system.  If we would eliminate Medicaid, SNAP, EBT, and other entitlement programs that discourage upward mobility we could alleviate some of the tax burden on higher percentage earners which would in effect inspire them to work even harder.  Right now its common for people to reach a certain threshold of earning or wealth and then just give up because so much of the additional income would be taxed at an unfair rate.

IOW, one person's success has no bearing on another person's success UNTIL the straight white christian male fails to come out on top.

Got it.

Indian and Asian households are top 2 household incomes in America on average.  Straight white men do not come on top.  Men and their success in general are lagging in America right now.  More likely to commit suicide, declare bankruptcy, and less likely to graduate from college.  Part of this is the systemic discrimination against straight white men in academia and corporate America but it also has to do with a mindset shift in our youth.  80 years ago you had 18 year old men storming the beach of Normandy and how the average 18 year old boy cannot even do 10 pull ups.  Hopefully restructuring the education system and having inspirational leaders like Trump, Musk, Vance, and Thiel in positions of power can inspire our young boys to embrace masculinity.

I'm sure Trump is the ultimate role model of masculinity with all his marriages and adultery.  Then there's JD Vance who has done drag and probably has a lot of Sephora points for getting eyeliner.  Musk reportedly took ketamine with a woman he was committing adultery with.  But having 13 children I suppose is masculine enough.

Maybe young people are rejecting traditional views on masculinity and that isn't a bad thing to be corrected.  Maybe females and minorities have stepped up their game not letting men get in their way and even out performing them,  and that's not a bad thing.

Youve mentioned adultery about a thousand times here.  Many marriages these days are open or polyamourous or something along those lines.  I know in the biblical sense it doesn't matter. But, you also don't give a rat's *** about the biblical sense

So where's your evidence he's committed adultery?

Correct, but we also live in a very diverse society.  Not everyone has or will ever have some of the advantages that are freely given to others.  Does that mean we keep the people with great advantage and wealth at the top so as not to give anyone who could probably do just as well but are at a disadvantage less of an opportunity.

And we can't forget that a large number of admissions at the most prestigious schools are legacy admissions which have nothing to do with qualifications and just perpetuates the inequality.

You noticed that? Maybe it was not being hired by the police. Can't imagine why they wouldn't hire a candidate who idealizes a thieving rapist, an utterly incompetent white supremacist, a quisling pickme and an oligarchic Machiaveli wannabe, and who thinks that young men killing other young men en masse is the epitome of masculinity.

There should be rule against psych evals!!

I think tweety was trying to be polite. Would you prefer the term "sexual predator" or maybe "racist misogynist"?

There is no "evidence" and you know this so I'm not going there.

I have no problem what consenting adults do, whether it be cheating on your spouse or having an open marriage.  Really none of my business and I don't care.

I brought it up because he was pointed out as a role model of masculinity.  The post was mostly sarcasm.

His felonies aren't necessarily about him being a role model husband.

I often bring it up about Trump because Evangelicals act like he's the second coming of Christ.  I often bring it up when people praise his character.  But don't know for a fact that he's an adulterer and don't have evidence.  I'm not one to believe in conspiracy or gossip, but if his smell like crap, looks like crap, it's most likely crap.

Honestly if he was a decent person in every other way and was admirable and honest, I probably wouldn't bring it up at all.  But he's not.

It's sort of common knowledge that both Trump and Musk cheated on their wives.  Trump is also guilty of fraud.

Quibbling over Trump's inability to be faithful to an oath is current events when he's breaking his oath of office.
