Talking about Trump's mental dysfunction distracts from the cover up of Biden's incapacity to serve as POTUS. And, very few outside of here seem to believe Trump is deteriorating. No one any longer is denying Biden's decline.

That's the job of the propagandists and they are doing it well. They need to keep the population confused and calm.

You are correct. As we can see in these threads, the media is quite successful at convincing people that Trump isn't really mentally ill and that his cognitive function isn't in a state of decline. They do have people speculating about some Biden coverup just like they had people speculating about the Biden crime family. Meanwhile, millions of us aren't buying the gaslighting attempt while the Trump family grifts off of Two Dolls Donnie's chaotic thinking and sloppy administration.

Yup. I first posted about that tactic quite some time ago here on AN - back when spidey'smom, viva las viejas. AZhiker, Zashagalka and other conservatives were posting frequently. Rush Limbaugh and the tea party were the big topics - a little over a decade ago, I think. I've monitored that pattern ever since, on both sides of the political aisle. It's remarkably consistent.
First, your statement that "nobody believes trump is deteriorating" is classic overgeneralizatiin. If my opinion is a minority, that's nothing new, nor is it limited to one person. That trump is mentally disabled is not a minority opinion. He has symptoms that are easily discoverable in any media outlet that reports on him. I have not seen any "denial" of Biden's decline nor have I seen any statement that we "must" conclude anything about the timeline of cancer diagnosis. Speculation about causes and processes is neither denial nor the pronouncement of a firm conclusion. Dragging straw men around is not a sound argument.

ETA: additional point - trump's mental health issues were being observed and discussed since he came down the golden escalator, with Biden nowhere in sight. I hadn't thought of that - good point. I don't believe trump had a head CT. I said I wish I could see one but that I doubted that he would allow it. AEB his proposal for dealing with the rapidly increasing reading case count at the beginning g of the COVID pandemic: stop testing.

It was reported after the Butler event that Trump received a precautionary head CT at the hospital.
