QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.
Meanwhile, Trump's aggressive and chaotic attitude toward Greenland has caused some embarrassment for Usha Vance. Maybe now that he's created an international issue and put her in the center of it, Trump might be able to remember her name.
JD had to change his plans so that they could land at the military base rather than a civilian airstrip where they might have been snubbed diplomatically or perhaps even protested by the citizens that he later insulted in his remarks.
QuoteThe new prime minister said the U.S. visit signalled a "lack of respect" and called for unity in the face of "pressure from outside".
The U.S. delegation, which will also include Vance's wife Usha, national security adviser Mike Waltz and Energy Secretary Chris Wright, was scheduled to land at around 1530 GMT.
The initial plan for the trip had been for Vance's wife to visit a dog-sled race on the island together with Waltz, even though they were not invited by authorities in either Greenland or Denmark.

QuoteA White House official has said Greenland has an ample supply of rare earth minerals that would power the next generation of the U.S. economy.
What would we give them in return for their mineral rights?

They do. Remember how upset they were with the BLM protests. Even after January 6th they whenever we would bring up the subject someone would invariably say "what about BLM matters violence, they did more damage than January 6th".
I'm waiting for whenever someone brings up Telsa vandalism to say "what about January 6th violence? It cost a couple of billion.
I was at the gym and they devoted some time on Fox to it, along a very long discussion about Tim Walz.
QuoteI hate to start a weekend (sort of) by talking about Tim Walz ... but my God, it's just impossible to be this stupid.
Honestly, we are so blessed that the Dems put him in charge. Think about it ... they've pretty much told Bernie, Jasmine Crockett, AOC and Tim Walz to lead them back to the promised land.
What a who's who! Mix in a little Joy Behar and that weirdo David Hogg, who is lowkey the biggest grifter on the planet, and it's just a room full of absolute WINNERS.
But this Tim Walz ... goodness gracious, he's just the dumbest one of all. And that's saying something, given the combined IQ of the rest of them is 12.
Anyway, Tampon Tim – mere months after getting stuffed in a locker during the election – is back to traversing the country and trying to save America.

I've said here that I was disappointed in the mass pardons of Jan 6 rioters and that many should have been held accountable.
I've heard many bother Trump voters say the same.

That outkick content was dumb.

Yes. The blanket pardons of the patriots of January 6th was not supported by all and you've said it several times.
My point was the deflection that I saw several times here to "what about BLM violence" when some of us brought up that day. I saw it by pundits on Fox News say it and by a few posters here (Crusades said it, but other posters were a hit and run).
Moot point as mostly my comments were tongue in cheek.
QuotePresident Trump on Friday compared the vandalization of Tesla dealerships across the U.S. to the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, arguing the level of attacks on Elon Musk's company wasn't seen at the Capitol.
"I view these people as terrorists, just like others. When I looked at those showrooms burning and those cars — not one or two, like seven, eight, 10 burning, exploding all over the place. These are terrorists. You didn't have that on Jan. 6, I can tell you,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office
True enough I guess, vehicles didn't burn that day.

JD or Usha! How rude to invite yourself especially into someone's house just to bully them. The Greenlanders outsmarted Trusk in a clever way.

The phenomenon is frequently referred to as "caucasity" in more heavily melanated settings. I wonder what Rubio and the Happy Couple thought was going to happen?
Interesting language shift there, innit?

QuoteWASHINGTON (AP) — Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's younger brother is serving in a key position inside the Pentagon as a Department of Homeland Security liaison and senior adviser, Hegseth's office confirmed.
The high-profile job has meant meetings with a UFC fighting champion, a trip to Guantanamo Bay and, right now, traveling on the Pentagon's 747 aircraft as Hegseth makes his first trip as defense secretary to the Indo-Pacific.
Phil Hegseth's official title is senior adviser to the secretary for the Department of Homeland Security and liaison officer to the Defense Department, spokeswoman Kingsley Wilson said in a statement Thursday.
QuoteBased on Phil Hegseth's publicly available resume, his past experience includes founding his own podcast production company, Embassy and Third, and working on social media and podcasts at The Hudson Institute.
Meritocracy, right?
Hahaha
It's always fun when right wing extremists are in control.
QuoteIsrael's military admitted on Saturday it had fired on ambulances in the Gaza Strip after identifying them as "suspicious vehicles", with Hamas condemning it as a "war crime" that killed at least one person.
The incident took place last Sunday in the Tal al-Sultan neighbourhood in the southern city of Rafah, close to the Egyptian border.
Israeli troops launched an offensive there on 20 March, two days after the army resumed aerial bombardments of Gaza after an almost two-month-long truce. Attacks on medical staff, hospitals and ambulances are potential war crimes.
The extremists are bold.

We need to hear what this Hegseth's mother says about him.

No one has a problem with holding vandals accountable except Trump supporters. We should take issue with an unelected billionaire considering himself to be the federal government. He is not the government in any way. His royal "we will come after you" is pretty bold.
