Things you would love to say to your fellow nursing students!

Published

Along the lines of the first thread, "Things you would love to say to your nursing instructors" I thought this would be a great thread to start. I've since graduated LVN but there was one main thing I wanted to say to some students in my class.

Will you people in the back row please stop talking! I swear that today I can still hear their motormouths running! :chuckle

When I am in the RN bridge I will come back and post some more. I'm sure some of you have something to get off your chest. Come on and unload here! :)

Please stop passing judgement on everyone in this program. Tall and blonde does not equal stupid. Over 40 does not equal over the hill and too slow to learn. Second career does not equal "I'm just in this for the money and job security." It may just mean, "I've wanted to do this for years but life wouldn't let me."

And please know that your endless need to judge said people makes it really easy to diagnose your very low self esteem.

Me being on time every day for class and not 45+ minutes late like you doesnt make me a "kiss-ass", it makes me punctual & responsible. Good luck finding any job in the healthcare industry being late like you are!

& If I am the only one in this whole class that knows what the duodenum, jejunem & illeum are, then all of you are in BIG trouble.. So don't laugh at me because I know the right answer, I should be laughing at you for NOT knowing the right answer! This isn't high school anymore, it's not "cool" to fail anymore! It's no wonder I'm aceing this class & all of you are borderline failing!!!!

Hey you with the mouth in the back of the class....

SHUT IT!

Believe me, nobody cares about your girlfriend's shingles.

OMG!!!! Please stop whinning about how you have it so hard and you can't study WHY!!!!!!!! You are staying with your parents ,no kids, husband or a job! Try to study with a 7 year old who will not take off his too little spiderman halloween costume from 3 years terrorizing the his 10 year old sister who just started her period and is hormonal not to mention the 4 year old cry baby and the 3 year old who is half way potty trained and brings me her poop in her hands because she couldn't make it to the potty in time and all this time the husband is on his Xbox 360 Live online playing battlefield 3 demo and has tuned everybody out and this is just one night out of 4 the other three nights I am at work from 7pm-7am as a tech on a pulmonary floor dodging luggies flying out of trachs for 12 hours.TRY STUDING THEN matter of fact lets trade then you can really see how hard it is to study you spoiled brats!!!!!! (MAN THAT FELT GOOD LMBO)

ROFL!!!!! :yeah: That sounds like my life, minus 2 kids and a job, and add in about 3 hours of traffic each day, give or take, when I only live 20 miles from my school :/

-hmmm I have no idea why NO ONE wants to be your partner at clinical? or work with you on most any project we have? perhaps its because you have to be right about everything, even when you are dead WRONG! thank you, sir-knows-it-all

-stop sighing so freakin loudly every time you think the instructors are wrong! I know you have been an emt for like 3 hours now, and you know it all, but really dude stop trying to correct the instructors! They aren't wrong, YOU ARE!

-it's probably a bad idea to go psycho on your class in lab, just sayin...

-I have kids, I don't talk about them constantly, unless I'm specifically asked about them... why can you not follow the same etiquette? I don't want to hear every story about your 2 year old and how he had a booger or whatever...

-I do not want to hear every story about your husbands job!!! or be asked a million questions about it. Yes our husbands have similar jobs but I have my own life, apart from my husband and his job, unlike you!

-Do you not realize that the more you talk and disrupt class it just means that we have to stay that much longer?

-Stop asking instructors things that are completely unrelated to the lecture being given!! We are not discussing the DNP/MSN/CRNA career paths today, instead we are discussing something pertinent to this degree!!

-Really you have to answer every single question? Even when you know you are wrong? Silence is therapeutic... maybe you should try it, just sayin...

The program *DOES NOT* revolve around you! Do you understand how lucky we are to get a typed sheet explaining what will be on the test?!!! The complaints are endless and are getting very hard to tolerate.

Also, how did you like getting your ass handed to you by our instructor? Because it was totally warranted and a loooong time coming. When you try and destroy someone's livelihood/take away their job- one of the ONLY things they have left, you are a ******* monster. You need to take a second look at why you're really here.

:lol2:

SO Im guessing there is no way to avoid working in groups during NS cause it really sounds like Id rather stick to myself. LOL

No, unfortunately, there isn't. We had to do a 'group' project last semester. It ended up being 35 pages and of those 35 pages, I did exactly 35 of them. The other person did exactly zero.

I hate group projects, and seriously dread the upcoming one because of that very reason. Only, there's 10 in our group and trying to get 10 people together isn't very easy. Getting on my nerves already!

So basically be ready to do all the work for the group project. Check. LOL :D

Every time I come back and read this thread I lol because it reminds me of so many people I go to school with. You guys really need to lighten up and stop letting other students bother you so much. I bet if these schools were 95% male we wouldn't be online ranting and raving about one of our fellow students discussing their grade and asking us how we did on our last test.

Ugh, I had a group project last semester for my "multicultural nursing" class. It was three of us in the group, but only two of us did the work. The third person got a 90% because of OUR hard work:down::down:
