I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can. My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.
He's not going away.
Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL
Quote“At one point, Trump made a candid admission that was as jarring as it was ultimately unsurprising. ‘The question I get asked more than any other question: “If you had it to do again, would you have done it?”’Trump said of running for president. ‘The answer is, yeah, I think so. Because here’s the way I look at it. I have so many rich friends and nobody knows who they are.’ … Reflecting on the meaning of having been president of the United States, his first impulse was not to mention public service, or what he felt he’d accomplished, only that it appeared to be a vehicle for fame, and that many experiences were only worth having if someone else envied them.”

Crusades said:I an serious. Omit the misinformation. If you have data beyond speculation that it was Trump that caused people to be reckless, leading to a high number of covid deaths, please do share.
Hahaha
Now all of a sudden, Trump is a nobody who doesn't influence what people say and do and he wasn't the largest source of covid misinformation in 2020? You just can't imagine how encouraging people to gather in groups or not wear masks in the Spring and Summer of 2020 while being the largest source of misinformation about the pandemic could cause deaths. That makes it a waste of time to try to discuss the evidence of that leadership failure (again) with you.
It's clear that you have a completely different lens through which you view all of Trump's lies and failures.

QuoteThe Sun's Publisher Brian Greenspun told Newsweek via phone on Wednesday that the timing of the editorial was dictated by "events over the last two weeks," pointing to Trump's Madison Square Garden rally and the Times' analysis
"It's time to say clearly this is an issue," Greenspun said of Trump's behavior and mental capabilities.
QuoteThe Sun editorial added that both Democrats and Republicans should be "alarmed" by Trump's words and called on America to "confront" his "hateful character." The paper went on to add that Trump is showing signs of "mental illness" and also pointed out his praise of strongmen Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
"This makes him prey to manipulations by his own staff or, worse, the control of foreign adversaries," the editorial warns.
"As voters consider Trump's latest bid for the presidency, it's essential to recognize that this election is not merely a choice between policy platforms or party loyalties. It's a test of our willingness to safeguard our nation from leaders whose fitness for office is in serious question. This election is about protecting the integrity of our democracy from those who would let it collapse in the name of power, loyalty or expedience," the Sun opinion piece read.

QuoteThe editorial also called out Trump's running mate, U.S. Senator JD Vance of Ohio, for embracing "extremist ideology" while adding that the Republican vice presidential nominee is eager to follow Trump's "worst instincts."
One has to wonder what that WaPo editorial might have looked like. This editorial is brutally honest about Trump's mental and cognitive decline and how bad it would be to re-elect him. It's interesting how Trump consistently fares so poorly when held to the same standards as applied to Biden or any other politician.

You keep saying your opinion and now it's changed from, "Trump responsible for 100 thousands of deaths" to "greatest source of misinformation ". All without any actual evidence beyond ypur opinion. Oh and many other propagandists I'm sure.
I admit my bias. However you making a statement such as "lack of a clear lens" in reference of Trump is laughable in the era of Biden.

Trump is poling higher in the swing states than Biden was the sametime as Biden in 2020. Loool.
It's interesting that you think Biden has only "age related change" when even his party and professional left msm propagandists can't even deny it.
Good on WaPo for going with cognition and mental illness instead of "Hitler, Fascists Nazi".

Right. So no evidence then? That's what I thought.

LOL
Keep spinning. I've explained all of this before. It's like throwing water at a wall.
Trump is having a terrible wrap up to his endless campaign. He is lurching from one weird or wordy self sabotage to another.
Did you hear him say the other day that he was going to "protect" women whether or not they like it? He just can't help himself. He talked about the country being a garbage can and then he rode in a garbage Trump with his name on it. Was that symbolism?
When I was a kid the old people stayed in the family homes. Some that I met were nice and some were not nice. My family told me that old people become more of who they truly are because they either can't, or don't care to hide that anymore.

LOL....you mean like those who want to decriminalize illegal immigration, pack the SCOTUS, get rid of electoral college, end the fillibuster, and who knows what else.
No.
I mean like Trump actually saying that he could declare an emergency and suspend the constitution. I mean like trying to overthrow an election by extraconstitutional means. I mean like using an angry and violent mob to intimidate a bullied VP into breaking the law to appease Trump.

You forgot the goal to "fight disinformation " and hold platforms accountable for allowing free speech on their platforms? And disarming the population even just a little bit? There's 1 and 2 right there.
Forgetting Hitler disarmed the German population and controlled all media and academia.

I don't care about your deflect. I asked about evidence of your claim that "Trump is responsible for 100 thousands of covid deaths".
He said he will protect women even if they do not like that he's the POTUS
And driving around in a garbage truck was another brilliant troll to cause democrats to freak out. And once again, without fail, it worked LOL.

This is exactly what Biden did when he called conservative voters "garbage"

Laws about immigration and the filibuster are not in the Constitution, nor does it specify how many justices make up the SCOTUS.

I know. His party booted him out when even they, the most skilled propagandist knew he would not win again.
