I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can. My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.

Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL

The American people will get a good look at the two men who would be president should their respective running mates become unable to perform the duties of the presidency.
We should judge them on their character and their experience and their ability to lead under stress. I don't think that Vance is qualified in any of those areas.

The rhetoric of the republican politicians is a different matter. They are clearly laying the blame for inadequate funding and staffing and detention capacity at the border on the Biden administration. We all know they refused to pass legislation that could have improved all of those things and more.
Pointing fingers at someone else doesn't change or detract from Trump's lies about immigration or the lies and spin of his sychophants.
Biden/Harris had 4 yrs to attend to the border. Completely void of Trump. Instead on day 1 Biden/Harris canceled Trump policy at the border in order to look good and satisfy far left radicals in the democrat party. They cared nothing for the legal immigrants, US citizens and/or the legitimate people needing to take refuge in the US. It was all about ending anything Trump. Even if these policies were good for the country and migrants.
The bill was designed to fail. It was an extention to keep the already illegal immigrants in the US and prevent a little more from coming in. And a b9nus for foriengn war. If passed.
It was designed to make Republicans refuse it so they could campaine on the border having come to the realization their lies were no longer being accepted by the American people. Mission accomplished...... kind of.
What did the non border czar/address immigration issues from South America find out? Did she address any of these issues?

You've been very preoccupied with the notion that the failed assassins were leftists, which, ironically is a made up contention that isn't supported by the known evidence surrounding those angry white men with guns. That's very inconvenient as you claim others are making things up.
Why don't you do a little bit of reading about right and left wing extremism before you try gas lighting the thread on the topic? After you do, you might be able to answer your own basic questions about the categorization or analysis of right wing extremist groups.

Trump had 4 years to fix the border. It's not fixed. He had all 3 branches of government to put the perfect conservative fix on it but only passed a tax break for the wealthy. He didn't build huge expanses of a border wall and Mexico didn't pay for it. Trump instituted a cruel policy which intentionally separated even small children and infants from their parents and then he lost hundreds of them.
You still haven't explained exactly why Senator Lankford would spend all of that time and money and energy negotiating sweeping border and immigration reform and then design it to fail. Why would that conservative republican Senator spend all of that time to publish and promote a bill that he wanted Republicans to refuse to back?
The big lie exposed to the American people is that republicans don't really care about immigration law and border security. Republicans complain and complain about the border but they refuse to take any action because it is so lucrative for them to campaign on a broken border.
I find it kind of weird that you are asking what Harris did relative to immigration in a Trump thread when there were articles cited and discussion about what she did in another thread. Is there some purpose in asking and answering those kind of questions over and over again?

It's Justice Kavanaugh's fault a far left radical plotted to kill him outside of his house.
It was 6/9 Justices fault that are far left radical made 1000's of threats because they make judgments that some people don't like.
Not only was it Trump's fault but you attempted to minimize the attempted assination by repeating the left propagandists that it wasn't a bullet, it was a glass shard the injured Trump's ear. Completely disregarding the innocent man that day died.
It's the Republicans fault that a crazed gun man opened fire on them during a baseball game.
