This is me right now.
Ha-ha! But seriously- thundershirts are awesome! I have a very neurotic 23 month old pup.Thundershirt is her saving grace when she gets crazy. We also put her upstairs in our bedroom with a treat and our other dog when we have more than a couple of people over. She's happier, and so is everyone else. Make sure the Thundershirt fits tight.
Which leaves me to ask....why?
Because, like homeopathy, flower essences do not have much in the way of peer-reviewed scientific evidence that they work better than placebo. A Cochrane review of 7 RCTs published in 2010 found that all studies failed to demonstrate efficacy beyond placebo.

Ah! I thought it might be something like that. You are not the only herbalist I know that has had a change of heart/mind with that regard.
Well, regardless, the Bach Rescue Remedy , though it never did anything for me, seems to really, really help my dog !

I've never had a change of heart. It was my training and experience in Herbalism that molded my views and opinions on homeopathy (and flower essences, to a lesser extent). I've always been an extreme skeptic on homeopathy, particularly when I was working as a professional herbalist.
Thank you for all of the animal posts! I have 2 dogs who take all of my time. I wonder what they're going to do when school starts! What am I going to do?! Thanks for the tips!!
I love my dogs *ALMOST* as much as I love my children. I'm more than happy to kick my kids out of my bed at a certain age (although we're still working on doing that with the 7-year-old) but I do NOT want to give up sharing my bed with the Great Dane. He is the BEST snuggler EVER. I could totally rent him out to take naps with people, like that Snuggery chick (won't post the link, but you should check it out - she has a business where she charges people to take naps with them).

sad but true, I sleep with my 2 big dogs more than my husband when we are on opposite shifts. The dogs get upset when my husband and I can actually share the bed since they are locked out of the room. There's just not room enough in a queen size bed for 2 people and 2 boxers! Yes, the dogs are better snugglers though I'd never admit that to hubby. They don't roll around nearly as much. Too bad the dogs both snore though, so no getting away from that
