The Mockery of Nursing

Published

Just a bit ago the top three threads involved:

1.I have a DWI. Can I be a nurse?

2.I am stupid. Can I be a nurse?

3.If it takes me five times to pass NCLEX, Can I be nurse.

Not much left to add. Says it all.

Apparently God is sometimes too busy with those war, famine and natural disaster things.....it's nice to know that sometimes you can pass just by STUDYING....and knowing the material!

Nor the NCLEX...old timer just got the job kinda like Florence...Ha!!!

After reading the last 10 or so pages of this thread, the word "fomite" has lost all meaning...

Say what you will about fomites, but I just read a couple of posts about bed bugs in the hospital. Shudder. That's something I've never even THOUGHT about! I may never leave my house again.

!!!Oh my Gosh, I am cutting, pasting, and putting that on my office wall, That's totally Hillarious!!!!!!!!

Thanks LDial1, you maid my day with that, that was cool!!!!

What? Were you able to pass the NCLEX (or boards if you've been in the game long enough) without divine intervention?

God is Good (hint). I passed my CPNRE first try, despite being a true sceptic.

We have a frequent flyer that always brings cockroaches with them. ALWAYS. And the family pitches a fit when we try to do any cleaning in the room at all. Because it interferes with their hoarding of all the silverware, linens, and everything else that isn't bolted down. I swear they'd take the bed out with them if they could hide it under a jacket.

Seriously, when did this become a christian website for nurses?? I just read that thread. I respect others having their own beliefs, but I'm sorry, don't rub it in our faces with every other breath.

So glad to see that I am not alone in this train of thought!

While I do believe in God, I do think He has more important things to do than help me pass an exam.

Re: Special Snowflake........

Bummer! I finally find the thread...get my fur ruffled, mainly because of how she "dissed" two of my favorite AN members in her response to their posts...and with fingers twitching, I get ready to jump into the fray...only to find it was closed......permanently......drat!

You see, I too, have "special" needs....

I was a single mother, too, who does have disabilties...

I had to walk to nursing school, uphill, in the snow, barefoot...and it was uphill...BOTH ways!

(ok, kidding about that)....

I had to actually do my homework....using, gasp, the library because I didn't have acccess to the internet and my lap top back then!!

So I couldn't post on all nurses to ask for any advices!!!

What I couldn't grasp was, don't they have any hospitals in Canada??????

She made it sound like she had NO access to any nurses!

Jeeezzzzz, either ultimate sense of entitlement or ultimate laziness!

I feel your pain; the same thing happened to me. I was getting ready to post an acid-tongued response, and...DANG! Thread closed.

Just reading the original post gave me a headache! Talk about not accepting responsiblity for yourself. I liked how she had Mommy and Daddy help her solve her problems too!

Helicopter parents. Are they going to be by her side when she's working and there's a code?
