Sitting here with post-lunch nausea/fatigue setting in.
Took my own temp.
Ate a peppermint.
There is no one to show my best sad face to.
There is no one to ask if I should go home or not.
There is no one to tell a long-winded story to regarding my parent's medical issues while they try and ask about what I ate.
No one to touch base with repeatedly for the next 2 hours.
Man, what I would give to have a School Nurse for me to go to!

When did your symptoms start?
What did you eat for lunch?
Have you drank any water today?
What is your temp?

You forgot one...
Did you try using the bathroom?
Hope your day is almost over and that you can go home and rest!
I just want an ice pack and to lay down but I don't think the building can function if I move that far from my desk!

I have completed a long-distance assessment and determined that you are in need of a mental health day. Stay home and watch Netflix or read. You should sleep for at least 12 hours.
Signed out by Kidzcare. Please excuse for the next 24-72 hours.

I slept 13 hours and woke up feeling FABULOUS. Saving the sick day for later :)

I am so proud of you. You made it through the day! Like I told you earlier, sometimes we don't feel good but we stay at school anyway. You rock! (Virtual fist bump with sprinkles)
